We had the good fortune of connecting with Berit Freutel and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Berit, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
I have Venus in Pisces in the 10th house, at the highest point of my chart and she holds hands with my Mars in Scorpio in the 5th. In plain English, that means: I want to create Art and “Spread The Love” (Mars is your will/drive and Venus is what you like). I’d say: Loving Art and The Art Of Love => are natural expressions of parts of my soul.

And of course, a natal chart and a personality are more than Mars and Venus; but for me, those two personal planets are my motor. I create all sorts of things: I started in Vienna, as an editor in fashion magazines, then wrote longer stories as in novels. I worked as a ghostwriter and did other people’s stories. I had a dating show in Vienna and when I moved to Los Angeles, I founded a fashion brand and another lifestyle brand.

Now, I look at the stars and let them inspire me to make more Art: This time it’s the Art of reading and interpreting symbols. If a vocation is a path, then I think, I am going from external fashion (literally Gucci & Co) to something like an internal beautifying of the soul. Not only my own but hopefully others.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am an Astrologer.

After a lifelong obsession and interest in this topic and now almost four years of intense studies, I want to help bring the stars down to earth. Astrology is a language; it is about reading and interpreting symbols and thereby getting to understand yourself. Everything we do counts and ripples: My mission is to spread this cool tool of astrology. I believe the world would be a better place if we’d give more space to the stars.

I’m Saturnian at the core = meaning responsible, reliable, stable, and “grown-up”. But my approach to Astrology and life is totally Uranian: I love to be rebellious, playful, and colorful, and I like things outside of boxes. Like the rabbit, my symbol & talisman, I enjoy unexpected, quick moves. This contradiction within myself reflects in my work: I wanna make astrology fun – yet show how it can deeply transform.

All you need is to open your heart, eyes, and ears. Astrology is about awareness. It has helped me ask the right questions, and navigate my deepest oceans, and it has made me see myself and others differently. I would love to share my experience and knowledge with others.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
