We had the good fortune of connecting with Sofia Bragar and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sofia, alright, let’s jump in with a deep one – what’s your definition for success?
Success can mean many things to different people. To me, success is living everyday focusing on those things that you enjoy and makes you happy, and it is also achieving those long term goals that one has. Even deeper, success for me is training and working in the film/theatre/singing industry, achieving short term goals among those, and having my own space to focus on myself and my relationships. If I have the opportunity to do one of these throughout my day and be able to eat well, sleep under a roof and live one more day, then I have everything to be grateful for. I am then successful. This of course, does not mean that I am not always willing to achieve more goals and keep building my success; it is an ongoing process.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am about to graduate from AMDA Los Angeles in a few months and it can not get any more exciting to get out there and audition, audition, audition, to get work, work, work! I will graduate with a BFA in Performing Arts: Musical Theatre. I am an actress, singer, dancer and model.

The thing I am most proud of right now are the projects that I have been able to participate in. Eight Ball is one of them. Eight Ball is a youtube web series that I have been working on these past few months and will come out March 12th 2021!

On a second note, I want the world to know how passionate and excited I am to get out there and share valuable messages throughout my projects and also expose myself into this amazing artistic industry. I love the performing arts and I believe people in general should realize how important they are in our lives. Without them, there would be a lack of creativity, entertainment, and a lack of education.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would start by taking her to The Grove Mall and eat at this Brazilian Food place inside The Farmers Market, it is delicious. Then I would take her to watch the sunset at the Topanga Lookout while having a yummy picnic. The next few days, I would take her biking to the beach, play beach volleyball, go hiking to the Hollywood sign, eat pizza and ice cream in Abbot Kinney, go to Beverly Hills and enjoy some coffee while walking down Rodeo Drive, and of course go to thrift shops to buy some great clothes. The Universal City Walk is a great place to go take a look at and the Paramount Drive-In Movie Theatre is an amazing idea to get cozy with blankets and snacks to enjoy a good movie.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
There is no way that I would have been able to achieve my goals, live where I do, go to a Performing Arts School (AMDA) as an international student, be grateful and conscious of what I have, and simply just being alive, if it was not for my parents. They are the reason behind my success and my motivation to always grow into a better person. They have supported my dreams ever since I can remember and they are always interested on knowing what I have accomplished throughout my every day. They have taught me to love life, to be grateful for what I have, and to never give up and keep going, since passion and effort is all one needs to be successful. I love them so much and I can not describe how meaningful they are to me.
