We had the good fortune of connecting with Bianca Gomez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Bianca, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
The thought process behind starting Lymphatic Love Massage LLC. was definitely a labor of self love and trust. The traditional timeline of graduating college and securing a great job was the only thing I had known. I actually worked a 7-3pm everyday; while doing wood therapy massages out of my house on my free time for 3 years. Then, I realized I had built a special practice with a solid client base and it was time to truly invest in my passion. Thus, Lymphatic Love was born from a leap of faith amidst skeptics and even my own self doubt knowing what I had to offer could change woman’s lives and health for the better. With that one primary thought, I came up with a logo, manifested a studio and an incredible work environment.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Maderoterpia aka wood therapy is a specifically designed technique that utilizes Asian and Brazilian influence in its modality. What sets me apart in the beauty industry is my massages are focused on lymphatic drainage and cellular health, not aesthetic and contouring. I’m focused on your bodies ability to fight infection and keep you protected and in good health. My steadfast focus on helping woman with their health and wellness is what has got me to where I am today. I’m truly here to help and give you any information I have to help support woman during this life. It wasn’t and still isn’t easy wearing all the hats of my business. However, slow and steady has always worked in my favor so when the time is right I’ll offload some business tasks and have a bigger team in the future. I love every step it takes to be an entrepreneur and follow my calling. The hardest lesson is not expecting friends to be clients once I set aside expectations and control organic clients flowed in. I want the world to know, sisterhood is still alive and I want all my sisters to heal their fascia and lymphatic blockages. Lymphatic Love Massage is centered on woman and raising the frequency of our physical bodies to then manifest all our dreams and desires. I’m here to encourage, support and guide you to your best self through the power of touch and natural elements.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Favorite spots in the city.

First off, a great place for all things self care would be a stop at the studio I work at in Highland Park, Aesthetically Yours where you can get a wood therapy massage, teeth whitening, lash extensions and so much more.
We would cruise to East Los Angeles and enjoy an agua fresca or acai bowl from Malinalli Superfoods it always smells of fresh sage and drum beats.
I would have to drive you down to Overland and Slauson to Simply Wholesome to grab some herbs and anything and everything health wellness. Some local, female artists that have been in my music rotation are Lavva, Iman Europe, and Chaynler Joie. Alongside some beatmakers like Rokem and rap groups like Coast Contra.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Relentless by Tim Grover is one book that shifted the whole trajectory of my career as a wood therapist. It allowed me to deep dive into my character and dark side. It allowed me to recognize that the dark side of my personality could be utilized constructively if I could zone in on one voice, my inner voice. I was free once I discovered that self dialogue that was true to my heart. After that, all my dreams and goals were tangible and i was worth acheiving them.
