Meet Bianca Scaglione- Artist and Content Creator

We had the good fortune of connecting with Bianca Scaglione and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Bianca, Let’s talk about principles and values – what matters to you most?
The importance of good values was instilled in me from a young age. There are many important values that I believe people should possess as good humans. To this day, I truly believe that honesty is the most important value. As an artist in 2021, honesty is a very hard trait to come by in the people you interact with and meet. I think honesty is a necessity if you’re interested in having a transparent, real and authentic career backed with longevity.
During the beginning of the pandemic, I started a Tik Tok page. It organically evolved into a dance page. My content is very comedy-heavy. I bring a satirical twist to try and lighten the harsh world that is dance. I have enjoyed the process thus far, and I am grateful for the platform I now have.
For me, I believe that keeping it real and honest is always important. I want to be a role model for younger dancers in the next generation. I want to share with them what I endured as a dancer growing up. I want people to know that all of the harsh extremities in the dance world shouldn’t be seen and accepted as normal. So as much as I love creating comedy skits and POV’s, I understand that I do have a responsibility to speak on issues the dance community faces, and the harsh reality we are sometimes faced with as performers. To be honest is to be human. To reveal the flaws in our communities and to present them with facts; to address them in a manner that helps others and gives them insight they might not have had otherwise is important to me.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
As a dancer, singer, and actress, I have many outlets as an artist. I do not want to be seen as one thing, because I am so much more than that. With dance, I am passionate about teaching and sharing my knowledge with others. Nothing makes me happier than teaching a class full of students, or choreographing with friends. I also can’t wait to be able to perform again; that will be such an incredible feeling when the time comes. With acting, I’m thankful for Tik Tok, because I am able to fuse my dancing and acting into one. I’m able to create original content; whatever I want. I’m also able to incorporate singing into my videos and skits, which is really fun for me! I like to use all of my gifts because I do not like to limit my abilities. I hope to start releasing my own original music again very soon. Studying in college and taking on dance as my main priority for the past 5-6 years put music on the sidelines, but there’s nothing more that I want than to be able to share my songs with people.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If a friend from out of town came to LA for a week and wanted me to show them the ropes, there are definitely some places I’d have to take them. (This is assuming proper covid precautions are in place and it is permitted.) Disneyland would definitely be on the bucket list. There’s something magical about the sugary smell in the air, the loud crowds, the sunshine above, and the good company you share.
One of my favorite beaches recently has been Manhattan Beach, because it has gorgeous waters with plenty of space to social distance, AND plenty of cute restaurants and shops along the boardwalk incase you get hungry.
Mulholland drive is one of my favorite lookouts in the San Fernando valley. If you go during sunset, it’s such a stunning view. It’s really grounding and inspiring when you can just take in the scenery and appreciate the view of LA.
I’m also a big sushi fan, and two of my recent favorites are Yakumi in Burbank, and Dojo Sushi in Sherman Oaks. If you’re a fish lover (I’m obsessed with yellowtail) the quality presented at these restaurants is outstanding. 10/10 from me!
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
For all of my recent blessings and successes, I give all of my thanks to Jesus. Without God moving all of those mountains for me through the pandemic, I wouldn’t be where I am today. I owe it all to Him.
