Meet Billie Edwards | Nail Tech & Influencer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Billie Edwards and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Billie, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I wanted something that I could do myself. I wanted my own craft to be proud about! And also a little guidance in life.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I, for one perform a service that most people don’t do, nor learn to do. I do Gel X which is safer way of doing nail extensions. It’s definitely harder painting and doing designs without acrylic but all it takes is patience and practice. I’ve always been interested in nails but after Covid hit, that’s when I was like okay how’s your time to focus on what you want. After that I went to cosmetology school got my license and now I have BUSiiBEE Nails!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I like doing activities! My favorite is bowling or skating, so we would definitely do that. The Inland Empire has some good restaurants, we could go to The Punch Bowl Social, The Riverside Food lab, or even making food and going to the park to have a picnic. I love having bbq’s and going to lounges or the beach! Things like that is what we would do.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would have to say my son & sisters motivate me a lot in life. I had my son a little young so my one dream is to make it for him, and prove to the both of us that I can do it! I grew up very close with my siblings and we’ve also kept each other in the right space. So for them I’m very thankful and proud of their success now and what’s more to come.
