Hi Billy, maybe we can start at the very start – the idea – how did you come up with the idea for your business?
The idea for AudEarn blossomed from my journey as a freelancer, working closely with a diverse range of artists, celebrities, and creators. During these collaborations, it became strikingly clear to me that the most effective path to my success was through helping others amplify their income. The creators I work with possess enormous online followings, and they see the value in partnering with someone who can unlock new revenue streams for them. It’s like lifting up your couch cushions and discovering a treasure trove of cash – unexpected, effortless, and incredibly rewarding. By tapping into their existing audiences, I implement monetization strategies that not only boost their profits but also significantly benefit AudEarn. This win-win scenario, where everyone prospers, became the cornerstone of our business model, driving us to new heights in the creator economy.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I’d recommend anyone visiting to catch a Dodgers game for some classic LA fun, grab a surf and turf burrito at Pablitos Tacos in Burbank, and spend a few nights under the stars at Joshua Tree to experience the natural beauty and tranquility. LA is a fun place, but one of it’s best perks is how close it is to some really beautiful national parks and outdoor adventure.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Absolutely! My journey has been shaped by the incredible support and guidance of many wonderful people. Personally, my parents have been significant pillars in my life with their unwavering support and encouragement. I also have to give a heartfelt shoutout to my best friend, Evan, who has always been there for me. His level-headedness and unbiased advice have been invaluable when I’m pondering decisions or need guidance.

Professionally, I owe immense gratitude to my mentor, Dana. He has put me in an incredible position to succeed and continues to allow me to stand alongside him, contributing however he needs me to. Working with someone so brilliant and level-headed has taught me an incredible amount and still does every day.

I also want to recognize my former boss, Greg Iguchi, from my time interning for MTV’s Jackass. Greg not only paid me more than he should have but also supported my career growth by allowing me to take interviews with other teams during work hours while I was being paid. All because he wanted me to be in a better role that paid more. Who does that? His generosity and understanding have left a lasting impact on my professional journey more than he knows, and it was him that allowed me to stay afloat.
