We had the good fortune of connecting with Blue and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Blue, what makes you happy? Why?
What makes me happy is the freedom I had to pursue art and exemplify my thoughts and ideas into a work of art. I’m grateful to have the opportunity to work freely and express not just myself by my thoughts freely. Not everyone has that privilege and I’m thankful and glad to be able to. Art makes me truly happy and passionate.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I got to where I am today due to the help of my wondrous family, friends, and peers. Without them I would never be where I am today. It’s 100% not hard to become an artist and I hear it a lot of struggling artists but I know that if you push and persevere you will make it and accomplish your dreams, that parts true for everything and not just art. I’m glad I’m at-least happy with where I am with my art. I’ve learned along the way that if something is too good to be true it most definitely is so you really have to be careful what you do and who you trust. My brand Sliver was built with a little help from my friends. Nothing but love and support came from them which might not sound like a lot can be a lot for someone just starting out. Love your local bands, artists and support them whenever you can. A little help goes a long way

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
The beach is great. It’s a great place to just sit, think, and enjoy each others presence. It’s very calm, relaxing, and peaceful in a way you could never find anywhere else.

Sometimes all you need is a little bit of peace ….. and love

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’d shout out a fellow artist who goes by the name Alani. She’s had a great deal of success with her art and helping me with my own and it’s honestly amazing how talented she is. She’s so young yet so full of wonderful and amazing ideas. She’s been a great friend and I’m glad I’ve been able to cross paths with her when I did. She will be successful one day and you guys will all know her name.
