We had the good fortune of connecting with BLUUR and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi BLUUR, looking back, what do you think was the most difficult decision you’ve had to make?
Starting over my business/brand. When I came to the realization that I wasn’t having fun with making music, I knew I needed to pivot into my life calling. I decided to start making house music, and it has been a breath of fresh air.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My art is expressed through music. My music sets the stage for a welcoming and accepting dance environment. I envision sharing with the world my style of house music blended with hip hop and melodic music. I’m not afraid to play different genres and BPM, as long as the vibe and style stays consistent. This road hasn’t been easy, I’ve been making music since 2016, and I recently rebranded to a different style of music in 2021. The hardest decision was letting go of my previous music brand identity. At first, I was afraid I made the wrong decision. It was only then when I received positive feedback for “BLUUR” I felt fully ready to go all-in. When I created the “BLUUR” brand, the process of music production felt much more fluid, and overall for enjoyable. The lessons I’ve learned is the journey is a lot longer than the result of feeling of satisfaction, finding meaning in what you do every day is true happiness.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Marina Del Rey, CA is an amazing spot to take people around. You can take people on boat rides, kayaking, paddle boarding, surfing, and bars. Down the street there is Venice, Downtown Los Angeles, and West LA, with so much to do. I always recommend people check out the Victorian, Sound Nightclub, Exchange LA, and Beach Beats. Personally, I enjoy going out to clubs and listening DJ’s around town. It’s always a good time.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’d love to dedicate my first shoutout to my fiancé Amanda. She’s been supportive from the beginning, and has helped me evolve to become a better artist and person over the years.

Secondly my parents. In the beginning, they didn’t believe in what I was doing. It was my drive to prove them wrong that helped me stay the course in the industry. They’ve recently seen my success and have been super supportive.

Thirdly, my good friend Alex. He’s been a big motivator, mentor, and advocate for me since the beginning. I appreciate all the support and feedback that has made me into the artist I am today.

Lastly, to my team and day one friends – Ray, Michael, and Jonathan. They helped the BLUUR brand lift up from the ground and helped piece together the vision and continue to be rockstar teammates.
