We had the good fortune of connecting with Bo Benton and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi BO, what role has risk played in your life or career?
I think healthy calculated risks are essential in wealth and career building. Everything in life can be risky, but it’s the overall plan that turns risk into profitable outcome.

For me, if I risk taking a chance on an endeavor or person, it’s because I have a gut feeling it or they in combination with my efforts will prove to have the winning combination.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
What are you most proud of or excited about?
I’m incredibly proud of never putting down the torch of creativity, even from childhood. Through all the phases of my life, I’ve always kept pen to paper, letting my thoughts and experiences flow. From signing with Universal Music Group and entertaining hundreds of thousands to sharing my soul through my writing, I’ve been committed to expressing my truth and connecting with others through art.

Was it easy to get to this point, and if not, how did you overcome challenges?
It definitely wasn’t easy. As a child, I was painfully shy, and it took a lot to overcome that fear of stepping into the world and sharing my gift. But I knew I had something valuable to offer, and once I recognized that, I couldn’t let my shyness hold me back. I had to push myself past my comfort zone to get my voice heard.

What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way?
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is to be unapologetically yourself. Nobody can do it better than you. Each of us has something unique to share with the world, and when you embrace who you are, you allow your gifts to shine in the way they were meant to.

What do you want the world to know about you, your brand, and your story?
I want the world to know that I am a survivor. I’ve faced difficulties that would have broken most people, but I’ve used those challenges to fuel my growth. Through resilience, fortitude, faith, and my deep love for God, I’ve become the woman I envisioned—powerful, beautiful, and creative. Despite the pain I’ve endured, I’ve always held onto love, and I want to share that love and light with the world through my work.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Yes, there is a book I’ve recently finished and gotten an international publishing deal for entitled ‘ Pieces of Me ‘ 101 Poems by Bo Benton. This book was twenty years in the making, and is a reflection of my journey. Each poem is deeply personal, rooted in moments of triumph, struggle, and self discovery. Writing this book was not just an artistic endeavor, but a cathartic experience—one that allowed me to process emotions, heal, and evolve. It’s a snapshot of where I’ve been, and a testament to the power of words in shaping who we are, and to that I give all glory to God.
