Meet Bo Li: Sound Designer & Composer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Bo Li and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Bo, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
A long long time ago, there is a village in the middle of nowhere, and there is a family, and there is a boy. The boy born with an interest in sound and music. His family followed the ancient method, they placed different elements around the boy, such as a guitar(music), a pen(writing), a ruler(math), etc. Yes, the boy picked the guitar. For him, every sound element in his life is an invisible energy. He really into how people read the sound and convert the energy in many different ways. What’s more exciting for him is he can use his magic to create sound arts and to tell the story and share it with the rest of the world.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
About my art, www.bolisound.com is all I want to say. Except for the standard portfolio you can check everywhere, I want to share the first interactive VR audio visualizer experience I post on my website, the AUDIOR. Audior is the next generation of the audio visualizer, it offers a possibility of collaboration between sound and visual in virtual reality. You can use it for gaming, exercise, making digital arts and relaxing. The use of this application is ultimate. Audior is a close touch of art and technology

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
There are many heroes in my life, I always feel like I am blessed. My parents will always be the first, they are the ground of everything. They give me a special force that powers me to conquer any challenge in my life. And they are right, there are many evil dragons waiting in the dark corner, they always waiting to find a chance to hit me down. And the dragons seem more and more aggressive, but I never give up pursuing my way of art and spirit. I want to thanks all the heroes who helped me, they are my teachers, friends, and even strangers. I feel many interesting sounds and spirits from them. And they become part of me. I also want to thanks the assho… sorry the evil dragons, because I couldn’t climb up to here without their ‘helps’.
