Meet Bona Elita | Creative Artist & Advocate

We had the good fortune of connecting with Bona Elita and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Bona, do you have a favorite quote or affirmation?
“Everything happens for a reason”
“Everything happens for a reason” means to me that whether the situation or the outcome was good or bad there is always a reason for that journey and it’s up to me what I choose to gain or lose from overall.
I love this saying because it helps me take a step back in individual situations throughout my life and analyze what I want out of it in positive ways instead of allowing myself to get too consumed in nitpicking the negative.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I first started out drawing and painting That was always my first passion. When it comes to my Art and what I create I always incorporate my Art in anything I create whether it be visual or tangible art, clothing, music, writing, etc. The most excited thing about my work is it’s adaptability and ability to be incorporated with so many of my other talents. I got here today from years of trials and tribulations and learning diversity and broadening my perception to be able to cater to a wide range of interest. It was and definitely still is not an easy journey but it is a fun one. At times I have felt stuck. Then I remember my saying “Everything happens for a reason” and it helps me reevaluate and move forward progressively. I learned along the way that not everyone is going to like you or what you have to offer but that should never stop your passion and just because it seems like there is no light at the end of the tunnel sometimes you have to make it. What I want the world to know is that Creativity is personal there is no right or wrong when it comes to how you perceive your own Creativity. I hope that one day my creativity will merge with my passion of advocating for the less fortunate and inspire people who might not be in the position in life in whatever aspect that they still find ways to create meaning in their life.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
First we would find a Spa for massages and facials, maybe order in after or A seafood restaurant to chat and catch up.
Second, Pastries for breakfast. Then nails and toes and hair.
Probably go thrifting. To a couple museums around the area.
Definitely walking on the beach with some rolled tacos and guacamole and virgin daiquiris.
Trail walking would definitely also be on the list with sushi rolls right after

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’d love to credit this ShoutOut to my Daughter Kalani Amore she is where most of my motivation comes from.
