We had the good fortune of connecting with bonnie jean tyer and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi bonnie jean, how did you come up with the idea for your business?
I originally wanted to be Shania Twain, but I ain’t got nooooo rhythm.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’m a Storyteller, I live for stories. I go into full theatrics just to explain an encounter I had at the grocery store. Naturally, acting and directing became my main outlets for storytelling. I started acting in high school, mostly improv, but I found my tribe of weirdos, I found myself, and never looked back. I enjoy stories with authentic experiences, or outlandish scenarios, as long as it comes from truth. I come from the swamps of Florida, so I have a great interest in showcasing my own background, especially in relation to extreme opposites, or cultural clashes. I also do Drag, my Drag name is Woody Banger, a good ol’ boy with a messy mustache that likes to rub his chest on people. You should meet the guy.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I always take my friends straight to Santa Monica from the airport, get some touristy things out of the way and eat delicious food truck foods. Then it varies from hiking, more touristy things, fires on Dockweiler beach, thrift shops, West Hollywood, and to my apartment because I have a great plant collection and two adorable bunnies. Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
A lot of people are responsible for my drive, goals, inspirations, and progress. I always dedicate my work to my gals, my mom and my partner. My mom taught me the “I’ll do it my damn self” mentality and it has helped me so much in life. My partner, Alyssa, nurtures my creativity and my self-growth unlike any. My bonus gal, is my coach, Tanya Linette Smith, she’s amazing and has done magical things for my confidence. I’ve learned so much about surrounding myself with supportive and constructive humans, and I’m sure there is much for me to learn.
