We had the good fortune of connecting with Inspirational Soul Recording Artist Brandon J and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Brandon, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
I’ve been singing since I was 3 years old, so I’ve always known that I wanted to pursue music as my career. It brings me great joy to encourage/inspire others through my music.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’m a professional Singer/Talk Show Host from Houston, TX. I grew up singing in the church. I’ve always had a love and passion for not just Gospel/Christian Music but music in general. I enjoy R&B, Smooth Jazz, Pop & Neo Soul as well. Over the years I’ve just remained consistent and persistent. Any time I hear the word “No” or when a door closes, that motivates me to keep going until I reach my goal. I’m grateful for the platform that I have to inspire others through music.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I enjoy live music, bowling, dave & busters, thai food, cooking, movies, amusement parks, cards games etc. Those are some of the things I enjoy doing with friends.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to send a shoutout and love to my Mom. She’s always been there for me since day one. I’ve never had to question if I was loved or supported. I am who I am today because of her. I would also like to thank God for blessing me with the Gift of song. He’s faithful and I’m very grateful for everything He’s doing in my life.
