Meet Brandon Lee | Guitar Player For RVNGE

We had the good fortune of connecting with Brandon Lee and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Brandon, let’s start by talking about what inspires you?
My inspiration mainly comes from seeing people who are close to me succeed. When you surround yourself with people of the same mind set and ambition who continue to push theirselves will help give you the same drive to make your visions a reality. My friends and family help push me to go above and beyond and without them I wouldn’t have been able to come as far as I have.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I play guitar in a band called Rvnge. I moved to LA from Ocala, Florida March 1st, 2018. I found a one-way plane ticket for only $50 and I figured that was my opportunity. I came out with only a couple weeks to get everything ready and put together the most money I could at the time which was only $500. After many things not going as planned made the struggle to stay in LA feel almost impossible but was able to beat the odds. Shortly after the first year of being here Matthew Singh and I formed our band Rvnge and played many great venues we grew up wishing we could play. Leaving everything I knew to come out here to pursue something many people think to be just a dream has been the best thing I could’ve ever decided to do for myself. I feel like I have aged 10 years from the experiences and hardship but the outcome has been the most awarding. If you believe in something go for it no matter what the cost and what anyone says. Being able to do what I love is the best blessing I could ever ask for. Being able to play guitar for an amazing band, movies and other projects is beyond amazing and the relationships I’ve been able to build from the community is a big key to everything. Nothing great in life comes easy but you have to be the one to go against all odds despite the outcome. You’ll never know what you’re capable of unless you just go for it.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
The Sunset strip would definitely be the first place we go. There is so much energy and history along the entire strip and legendary places like The Rainbow Bar and Grill and The Whiskey a-go-go is a must. Downtown LA would probably be another great place to go to see the famous Staple Center and catch one of the many great events. Korean bbq is also an experience everyone needs to have at least once in their lifetime.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
One book that really changed the way I looked at life is called The Power Of Now by Eckhart Tolle. The book really helped me change my way of thinking and how I made personal life decisions. Mathew Singh was the person who kept telling me almost everyday for 3 years to come to LA and eventually did which changed my life in more ways I can describe. All my dear friends and family for supporting my decisions and understanding while being patient knowing we may not be as close as we once were. Everything I’ve done and continue to do will always be for them.
