We had the good fortune of connecting with Brandy Middleton and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Brandy, can you share the most important lesson you’ve learned over the course of your career?
Your success is a 100% reflection of your personal development.
What should our readers know about your business?
I am a Coach. More specifically a Confidence and Self Worth Coach. I help the once bullied millennial woman step into her confidence and own her self worth. THIS was my story. I was bullied from 2nd grade through 8th grade. And, I developed a lot of limiting beliefs about myself and what I “deserved”. I struggled with feeling that I was not good enough, smart enough, pretty enough, or lovable. I strived for perfection, because I thought that would protect me from the hurt and the ridicule – it didn’t. It was not until I learned to understand what I was dealing with on an unconscious level and start to let go of these limiting beliefs that I was able to start CREATING from a place of empowerment. It was not easy. But, I stuck with it. I have been on a 15 year journey with my personal development. Who I am today (bold, energized, happy and inspiring) is unrecognizable to my younger self (shy, scared, fearful and meek). What I have learned is that I am 100% at cause for everything in my life (I am the CREATOR of my life). From this belief, I am empowered. I am able to choose 100% of the time. If I do not like my choices, I STILL have a choice and it is mine to make. Again, I am EMPOWERED! I want you to know that your life is 100% what you make it. YOU dictate your reality. What you SEE is a refection of what you BELIEVE to be true. Change your belief, and you change your REALITY!! You have EVERYTHING you need right now to have the life you want! Go get it!
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
A perfect time for me in Los Angeles is getting to KNOW the city. I would start with some time by the beach – Manhattan, Hermosa and/or Venice. I would grab some healthy food at the local vegan or vegetarian restaurant – my favorites: Vegetable or SunCafe. I would check out a few sushi spots – my favorites: Kazu Sushi, Sugarfish or Sushi Yuzu. I would hit up the fresh pressed juicery – Kreations is my ONLY go to! They are the BEST! I would check out the higher end restaurants to get that quality high end experience – my favorites: Lawrys or Providence. Then I may check out some City Tours to get a lay of the land. As an LA native, I still have yet to take all these tours, but I have been DYING to. Who wants to come with?
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I love this! I want to credit my Shoutout to the book: Rich Dad, Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki. While I knew at a young age that to create the life I wanted I was going to have to own my own business, it was not until reading Rich Dad, Poor Dad that the pathway started to be clear for me. Rich Dad, Poor Dad (and “Cashflow Quadrants”) was my first big introduction into Entrepreneurship and being a business OWNER!!
