We had the good fortune of connecting with Brandy Taliafero and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Brandy, have there been any changes in how you think about work-life balance?
Being a first time full time mom, juggling a full-time career outside of creative endeavors, my work load is always o0n overload! So im really grateful for my partner, Saint and his patience. He is definitely the better half of me.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My art is modeling, creative directing and set designing. i got where I am today from auditioning to local fashion shows and creative events

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
CONEY!!!!! you CANNOT visit detroit without stopping at your local coney, at any time of the day. They can literally cook anything you want, anything you can think of. Belle isle has been a staple in my life and I know all detroiters for decades, even more.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I have to shoutout my daughter, Stone Emerald for making me see the beautiful side of life. Helping me refocus my own self worth. Before becoming a mother, my creative side was dying simply because I was getting defeated in how I portrayed myself and feeling inadequate in my community. Having a calm spirited and supportive partner like Saint has been the biggest blessing. I have the greatest bubble of love and support anyone could ever ask for
