Meet Breea Rosas | School Psychologist & Licensed Educational Psychologist (LEP #4443)

We had the good fortune of connecting with Breea Rosas and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Breea, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
My goal is to spread neurodiversity affirming practices in to the community. Neurodiversity is a natural part of life. By educating others about neurodiversity affirming practices, I hope that our world becomes one that is more accepting, understanding, and supportive of neurodivergent people so that all people can live authentically.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My business is all about neurodiversity affirming practices in education. I provide professional development, consultation, and coaching for educators looking to implement these practices. I also conduct psychoeducational evaluations and independent educational evaluations (IEEs) for children ages 5-12 through a neurodiversity affirming lens. Finally, I offer support to families navigating special education services so that their child can have plans in place that respect their child’s unique neurotype. I am excited and passionate about sharing about neurodiversity affirming practices and love working with other professionals who are ready to change old ways of thinking. I have learned that every educator truly wants to do their best for kids, and when we meet educators with openness and understanding, they will give it back. I want our community, and world, to know that we can make important changes so that our neurodivergent people can live a fulfilling life.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Some of my favorite spots include: O’Brien’s in Santa Monica- a fun little Irish Pub, EP & LP Rooftop Bar in West Hollywood, High Rooftop at Hotel Erwin in Venice, the Rose in Venice, a scooter ride at Palisades Park.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would love to give a shoutout to the neurodivergent community for sharing their lived experiences. Without neurodivergent people coming forward and being vulnerable, we wouldn’t have this unique lens shift.
