We had the good fortune of connecting with Brent A. Nuffer, founder at the ELECTRIC MOON and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Brent, every day, we about how much execution matters, but we think ideas matter as well. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
ELECTRIC MOON was born out of innovative necessity and our drive to share our love of all things Music & Art. We originally designed the ELECTRIC MOON for more of a brick and mortar situation, then a global pandemic happened, the World changed and quickly we shifted gears. Through processing all the fears, frustrations, and worries that we were all going through, the ELECTRIC MOON was dreamt up. One morning I woke up from a dream that had handed me the idea of simply creating the ELECTRIC MOON as an online experience. We now have the very first of its kind, a fully functioning Music & Art Venue using state of the art technology with 3D and Virtual Reality features. Our main focus is about music lessons, workshops, collaborations, instrument sales, live stream performances and so much more. We also feature an online virtual reality Art Gallery and a Listening Room where we will be featuring Artists, Bands and Songwriters from around the World. Now more than ever Artists and Musicians are looking for ways to express themselves, and there is an audience hungry to hear, see and feel it. We are Grateful and Humbled for this opportunity.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
The ELECTRIC MOON is the very first fully functioning online Music & Art Venue featuring 3D and Virtual Reality capabilities using new technology in extraordinary ways. We primary teach Music Lessons and Workshops and we wanted to create a unique and eclectic experience for our guests. So we went through and designed every inch of the ELECTRIC MOON from the front of the building, each and every lesson room, the furniture, the cafe and all of the instruments and amps. I find it important to deliver some sort of eclectic and personalized experience in whatever I do whether it on a stage or not. We wanted to bring something unique, something memorable, that we can build on and grow into the future with. Everything at the ELECTRIC MOON is set up as such. None of this was really easy, which is probably what fueled us to make it happen, the challenge, the process, the growing pains. I’m an Artist first and foremost, that’s what I know most, and have worked at the most. Though getting into this World, a more businessman approach was a necessity. So climbing into that role was/is challenging. When creating Art or Music, I prefer things scattered, raw, and perfection is not a word I like. In business, it’s the opposite, neat and orderly, perfection is important. I’m kinda using different sides of my brain for each I guess, so still working at finding that balance. We couldn’t be more excited to help lift up our communities through Music & Art in whatever ways we can!
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would say a visit to the Ocean would be a must, as the Ocean keeps one fresh. While there would visit the Self Realization Temple at Lake Shrine, which was founded by Paramahansa Yogananda in 1950. A favorite place of mine, and always a Peaceful vibe and helps one find balance. A ride along the Venice Boardwalk is always a trip, from the Venice characters, Artwork and random happenings. Maybe head to Runyon Canyon for a glance @ Los Angeles from nature. See what’s up @ the Broad, see a show @ the Troubadour (when they return) and that’s sounds like a good scope of things. That’s the Beauty of Los Angeles, never a shortage of things to do, experience and become inspired by.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
There’s been a few special people in my life who have inspired me in someway, and helped lead me in the direction of Music & Art. It’s truly saved me. Although, even those naysayers and bullies and those who do not believe in you, are also a major source of inspiration, so I thank them as well! Currently, I am very Grateful for everyone involved in the ELECTRIC MOON, from some of the finest Musicians around who have become our Instructors, to the Artists, Songwriters and Bands we have the opportunity to meet, to the highly skilled producers (Mike Austin-XMLA) and web developers (Miguel Chavez – Es Mas Creatividad) that have helped bring the ELECTRIC MOON vision to life. Here at the ELECTRIC MOON we realize we are only as good as the team around us. So very Grateful for all of them.
