Meet Brittany Love | Bead Artist & Creator

We had the good fortune of connecting with Brittany Love and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Brittany, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
The reason I pursued an artistic career is because I love the fact that whenever I create something, it’s always something new. It’s a career I can’t get bored of. I participate in so many forms of art like music, graphic design and video editing. There’s always a new creation of something. I’m not creating the same things everyday. Bead art has been my top form of art lately because of how therapeutic it has been for me, the income I make, and the impact it has on people. Being able to make anything I want out of beads is very exhilarating because there’s so many people, places, and things that I can do depictions of. It can be a portrait of an old or new photo, an animal, cartoon characters, food, and etc. There will always be something to make bead art of. I am able to use this vehicle called art to express my appreciation for the people and things that make up life. Art is so diverse so it will forever be exciting.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I make art made of beads, I do mostly custom bead pieces where people can send a photo of themselves, a loved one, a pet, a favorite entertainer, or anything that I can make a depiction of. What sets me apart from others is the kind of art that I do because most art consist of drawings and paintings but I use beads. I truly believe I got to where I am today by staying consistent. It’s not easy but it’s not hard either because I truly love what I do. Also, the support I receive daily really motivates me. This is a very time-consuming form of art so you definitely have to have patience. It works for me because it’s a form of therapy and it keeps me busy. I want the world to know that I do this art to not only help me out mentally but to have an impact on others. I want as many people as possible to own a handmade piece by me.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend was visiting my area for a week, we would definitely stay at a nice hotel by the beach. I would take them on hikes, beach walks or bike rides, and popular restaurants. During the night, we will attend a couple of bars. I would also take them to a few pop-ups where we can support small businesses. For a couple of days, we will take a road trip to Palm Springs for some warm weather and pool vibes. I just know wherever we are and whatever we do, we will be having the best conversations.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
The top two people I would like to dedicate my shoutout to is my little brother Tony and auntie Annie. May they rest in heaven. Everything I do is in their honor. I just want to have the beautiful impact on others that they both had on me. I would also like to give a shoutout to those who are here with me today that help me push through like my brothers Blue and Adrian, my friend Aide who has helped guide me, my friend Sean who helps so much during my art events, and every family member, friend, and customer who has supported my business. You all motivate me daily.
