Meet Brittney Buccat | Owner and Founder of Wild Rina

We had the good fortune of connecting with Brittney Buccat and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Brittney, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Having my own business has always felt like an innate decision for me. I’ve always been dreaming of having a business, I just didn’t know when or how it would come to life. I made the choice to launch my own business right after I graduated from college. I was a fresh graduate ready to take on my next chapter in life. I thought there was no better time to go after my dreams at that moment in my life where I felt like anything was possible. I knew I wanted to start my own clothing boutique from my love for fashion, plus combining what I’ve learned from business school and my experience as a fashion blogger throughout college. The combination between all my life experiences and a huge creative spirit, I knew I could start my own business.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
One of my favorite parts of starting my business was combining the things I already love doing and building out my dream brand. Having a small business a hard. As a small business owner, we’re forced to wear all the hats that it takes to run a business. What I’ve learned is that, it’s good focus on the things you are good at and admit the things you aren’t so good at. That way, you will excel well at the skills you’re good at and can pin point your weak points and try to get help. That being said, I’ve always been extremely proud of all the creative energy that goes into my marketing and brand. I simply have always loved creating and thinking of creative ideas. It’s definitely helped me and my business because I’m able to use my skills to create a strong brand, great imagery, and continuously kept my customers engaged with new launches, campaigns, and so on. However, the biggest challenge of small business is being held accountable to do the tasks that aren’t second nature. Creativity has always been my strong suit, but as continued to learn from my business, the business side of it were skills I had learn along the way. It definitely was not easy and I had to learn at every mistake. However, with a really open mind, I was always ready to take on a new skill and push my business forward.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
The week would be filled with food and drinks for sure. Mornings would most likely be trips to cute cafes for coffee. During the day, I love to go to areas that have a little shopping and something to eat or snack on. I mostly will go for some really cute rooftop restaurants or bars during sunset. I can never skip out on going out in K-Town, where there such good food finds. My favorite weekend activity is finding cute small business markets. The obvious markets are like the Rose Bowl, however, there are so many smaller ones out there that happen throughout the city.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would love to thank my boyfriend, Geremy, for always inspiring me to be my best creative and entrepreneurial self. Without him, I definitely wouldn’t be where I am now. He’s the best partner in life and business. I love that we get to dream and create together.
