We had the good fortune of connecting with Bryan Tamburrino and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Bryan, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
Risk has been a significant factor in shaping my decision-making process and ultimately driving the success of my business. As an entrepreneur, I’ve learned that taking risks is a necessary part of achieving success, but it requires careful consideration and a willingness to embrace uncertainty.

One of the most significant risks I took early on in my business was investing in myself. I was a junior analyst with not much personal direction. I knew that I needed to reinvent myself and I made the leap to become a 27-year-old consultant, building a brand with limited sales experience and a dream. I studied, I pursued degrees, offered new services, studied new coding languages, I made connections and I hustled. There were no investors, just me plugging away – and after some time I found my niche.

As I personally developed, I approached another turning point. Do I begin to reinvest in the business to build a brand or do I remain a local consultant. I knew that this investment could potentially drain my finances and lead to significant losses, but I also recognized that it was a critical step towards building my firm and expanding my customer base. I do everything big.

Another significant risk I took was to expand my product line and diversify my offerings. While this move was a significant investment of time, money, and resources, it also allowed me to reach new customers and broaden my brand appeal. By taking this risk, I was able to stay ahead of the competition and continue growing my business even during challenging economic times.

Even more prominent than embracing risk is accepting the results. There have been times where I give the project or initiative everything that I’ve got, and it flops. As an owner or even as a human I need to accept that I took a risk and good or bad the result is the result and all I can do is learn from it and move forward with a plan.
Overall, I believe that taking calculated risks has been crucial to my personal and professional growth and has been instrumental in building my brand into the well-known and respected business it is today. While not every risk has paid off, I have learned to approach decision-making with a willingness to embrace uncertainty and to trust my instincts when it comes to taking bold steps that can help me achieve my goals.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I’m most proud of my personal growth and its application to my business. I’m not saying that I’m the most intelligent person in the world, but I feel like the application of process, better performance and adaptation has always come easy to me. Those are the real skills that make you great.

I got here through ingenuity and dedication. When I started this firm, I had no choice. I wasn’t getting hired and the recruiters that were trying to poach me were only interested in making money off me – not helping me gain skills that would launch my career to the next level. If I hadn’t made the choice to take this risk and start my journey as an entrepreneur I wouldn’t be where I am today. I wouldn’t know what I know. I wouldn’t be able to give back. It requires consistent effort and with consistency comes results.

I worked smart, not hard. My entire business model is using the information at hand to help businesses drive growth and improve efficiency. Without applying this to my own life how would I be able to sell the concept?

Continuously innovate: Innovation is key to staying ahead of the competition and staying relevant in the marketplace. Continuously seek out new ideas and ways to improve your business.

Build relationships: Relationships are critical in business. Take the time to build strong relationships with your customers, suppliers, and partners.

Take risks: Every business involves some degree of risk. Be willing to take calculated risks, but also be prepared to learn from failures and adjust your strategy accordingly.

Tangible Analytics Consulting (TAC) began as a solopreneur with a simple vision: to provide data-driven solutions to businesses looking to make smarter decisions. As the founder and CEO of TAC, I was passionate about the power of data and believed that by harnessing this power, businesses could unlock new opportunities and achieve greater success.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would be doing a disservice by dedicating my success to only one person.

Of course, I need to shout out to my mother for believing in me throughout this journey. Thank you, Mom.

I don’t have a business coach, but I think that the real value of networking isn’t in what you know or who you know but what knowledge you can take from all of the individuals that you connect with that have experience that you don’t.

There was a tremendous amount that I didn’t know through listening to and learning from these mentors I’ve been able to grow as a person and a business owner.

When we talk about books, the most influential piece of writing that I’ve been exposed to is The Art of Seduction by Robert Greene.

Although the text is meant to be about seducing the opposite sex through personality identification it can be applied to business and work really well in the conference room simply for selling. Through a thorough analysis, you’ll find that the real theme of this book is adaptation.
