Meet Caleb Igwemadu | Music Peoducer and an Entrepreneur

We had the good fortune of connecting with Caleb Igwemadu and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Caleb, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I’ve always wanted to own my business, not having to answer to anyone and grow a community where people focus more on building and investing in talent. Financial freedom was also one of the reasons behind starting my own business.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Splendor Music Worldwide Records is a record label with the major aim of entertainments and Talent management. I have been able and privileged to work with a lot of local and foreign artists and producers.

What I’m most proud and excited about is the growth and process. When you actually enjoy what you do, it makes everything so easy.

I would say I got to where I am today because I actually love music, yeah. I have been a lover of music for a long time and I have that hunger of leadership and have always told myself I never want to be under anyones payroll. So it all started from using my phone to record music and then went into mastering music production and music business. It took me years to do so and I still learn everyday.

It wasn’t at all an easy journey, every content creator can attest to this, starting up a business or brand, comes with a lot of challenges, criticism, self doubt and the lists goes on. But it takes someone with a strong and clear dream to keep moving and trying. You need to really love where you want to be and vision how good it would feel to get there.

The best way of overcoming the challenges is take every criticism as an encouragement to work harder and improve in your craft to a point where you beat the self doubt. When you overcome self doubt you are good to go. Keep a very decent cycle of people who really wants what’s best for you and share the same dreams as you do.

I’ve learnt that there’s actually a lot of money online where you don’t even have to leave home and a lot of people eyes ain’t open to it yet, there’s actually money everywhere, the question is how much do you really need a change in your life? We need to focus more on our talent, that’s what actually makes us unique and that’s exactly where you can breakthrough easily. Find something you are good at or very much love doing.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Lol, I’m actually not the kind of person that goes out a lot to just have fun. But if a friend is visiting I won’t want it to be a boring experience for him/her so Las Vegas would be great and a trip to Nigeria, they wouldn’t want to miss out on the fun and freedom they would experience there.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
