Hi Camerun, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
As someone who loves the genre of good conversation. I would go live on Instagram every week as a way to stay social during the first phase of social distancing. Before I would go live I would write down some of my topics and questions that I was preparing to ask my friends/ family. I decided to put some of my knowledge, conversations, and entertaining spirit into a business opportunity. I did a lot of research on other drinking games and even reached out to some business owners about the idea of making my own. I wanted each question to be a vessel to start more conversation. I think this game is a fun one and can be utilized as an icebreaker for many social gatherings.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I’m the founder of Chattin LLC, the company behind the Chatting Drinking Game. I created this game during the pandemic of 2021 when social distancing was the norm. As someone who loves good conversations, I went live on Instagram every week with my friends and family, and that’s where the idea for the game was born. I wanted to create a drinking game that could bring people closer together, encourage meaningful conversations, and be used as an icebreaker for social gatherings.

What sets the game apart is that our game is more than just a fun drinking game. It’s a way to start hilarious conversations between friends, family, and even strangers. I’ve designed each card with mini-games, votes, or questions that get your mind thinking and encourage deeper connections. We take pride in fostering meaningful conversations and bringing people closer together.

Starting a business during the pandemic was not easy, but I learned a lot along the way. I realized the importance of research and reached out to other business owners for guidance. It’s been a journey, but I’ve already made significant progress. We have a website (chattingdrinkinggame.com) and are already selling the physical card game. I am a computer animation (3D) and also do a lot of graphic design. I made the logo, videos, and all the cards of the question deck by myself. I also just recently released a social media filter on Tiktok and Instagram to boost brand awareness. In the future, I plan to offer entertainment for hosting events and multimedia content for social media. My goal is to expand the brands reach and continue to bring people closer together through fun and meaningful conversations.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
There’s no denying that going out to local restaurants and clubs can be a great way to have a good time with friends and family. In my experience, places like Empire, Hugo’s, and other lounges are perfect for those who want to grab drinks, dance, and socialize with people in their circle. These venues offer a fun and lively atmosphere that can make any night out memorable. Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or just looking to unwind after a long week, these establishments have something for everyone. So, if you’re looking for a good time, I highly recommend checking out your local restaurants and clubs, and experiencing all the fun and excitement they have to offer.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I like to dedicated my shoutout to my family and friends. A great support system is a necessity to navigate sometimes in a hectic world. Having people that can as sit me with my ideas and also produce content with a hidden blessing.
