Hi Candace, what is the most important factor behind your success?
Loving what my profession entails is the main factor that contributes to my success, You have to love and enjoy every part of the journey. My brands always promote a healthy lifestyle that is essential for everyday life.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I am the proud owner of Cleen Market and America’s Garden Center. Cleen Market offers sustainable, 100% Organic, and Non- Gmo items that support healthy and sustainable living. Natural and tasty ingredients from produce, body care, snacks, and so much more!

At America’s Garden Center, we offer gardeners and farmers environmentally safe solutions. Our products are amazing and for pest control, and fertilization, along with other exclusive items. We stay focused on what works for the future of natural farming. Whether it’s Fruits and veggies, Plants, and Herbs.

Gardening and Food go hand in hand. We can’t have one without the other. Since we have to farm in order to eat, it’s important to make sure that our food is sustainable by growing it sustainably as well.

I feel every community needs a community garden that offers a small garden for emergency needs when our grocery stores are out of certain items during certain seasons.  We live in a time when our schedules exceed our ability to stay at home and cook, so that is why it is important to also offer these items to fast food places and restaurants. Chefs in all aspects deserve quality food to serve.

Our goal for Cleen Market and Americas Garden Center is to expand to my hometown South Carolina, and offer franchises and openings in areas where sustainability is needed.  We also offer businesses a strategy to also have gardens and mini farms around their establishments. Such as Elderly Facilities (Which is more important), Doctors’ offices, Apartment Buildings, New construction developments, commercial shopping centers, Condos, and of course offering our Entertainment Industry a better option for our creative fields.

According to the United States Department of Agriculture, “Food spending increased from $954.7 billion in 2021 to $1.05 trillion in 2022”

That means the average American household spends between $700-$1000 on food per month groceries; This does not include the average Americans spend on eating out. A very small percentage of that is sustainable and natural.  We are not eating well and that is a fact.

That is why Cleen Market and Americas Garden Center exist and we are proudly growing.

Cleen Market and Americas Garden Center are now in Moraga CA opening 2024. We are excited and looking forward to what this location will bring to Moraga and surrounding cities!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I love spending time in various locations where I can enjoy myself. My preference is for outdoor activities such as hiking, being on boats, and exploring the ocean. Additionally, I am a wine enthusiast and enjoy visiting different vineyards.

I love farms, and creating gardens. I have a green thumb so gardening and farming are definitely my therapy.

My heart is captivated by traveling around the world and learning about new experiences.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I have been privileged to be raised by amazing women in my life. From my grandmothers, great grandmothers, to my aunts, and god mother and mother. All have done a wonderful job at keeping me grounded and giving me the best life I could have asked for.

The most important person who has profoundly affected my life is my would have to be my grandfather Fletcher.

My grandfather is the most kind-hearted spirit I have ever met. His force to help everyone and still be powerful in the community showed me that you can actually make an impact and not alter your character. You don’t have to give up your integrity to be successful. In fact, you make more of an impact when you’re genuine.

My grandfather came from nothing and somehow created everything he has ever dreamt of by being a good person. Even in hard times he knew God had a bigger plan, so why worry..

I have been fortunate enough to be by his side my whole life, and next to him, I have learned what love truly means. He has shown me the importance of love in family, friendships, romantic relationships, work, travel, spirituality, and much more.

Fletcher lived his life with intention even though it meant walking away. It is not easy to be intentional about life, as it is easy to get sidetracked by the opinions of others and the noise around us. However, he taught me that it is crucial to be intentional about what we want in life.

Being intentional is just the beginning. The ultimate goal is to be kind and value every aspect of life that we are given.
