We had the good fortune of connecting with Cardiar Collins and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Cardiar, why did you pursue a creative career?
I pursued a creative career because creativity seemed to be what came easiest to me.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
What’s sets me apart from others is my attention to detail in my Melodie’s, lyricism, and honesty. I got to where I am today by trying to follow my heart and do what feels natural in the creative process. Nothing worth doing is easy. I overcame adversity by staying delusionally optimistic in the face of failure or changes in plan. A few Lessons I learned is to listen before you speak and to be of service to others before you request any help from them. I want the world to know that my brand is authentic and the path that God has taken me on will only continue to compound in greatness.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would take them to the art museum, the botanical garden, and midlands antiques for hobby time. I would take them to to try culdesac kitchen, good vegan back vegan , or black leaf vegan in the city for food and drinks. Hang out at bars in ripple or my homies houses.

In my view some of the most interesting person is me, the most exciting people I find are on a first Friday art show.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
1500 Soun Academy is an organization in LA that helped put me on a positive path of growth in my creative career.
