We had the good fortune of connecting with Ricky Mendez and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Ricky, how does your business help the community?
I believe 2020 & 2021 are the greatest times to be alive in human history for 3 reasons. 1) It’s the greatest time to have the time to acquire new skillsets and mindsets. 2) It’s the greatest time to expand our minds to what is possible with innovation in our lives and businesses and 3) it’s the greatest time to grow relationship capital.
In short, there’s more opportunity today than ever before. “But Ricky, there are people hurting out there.”
And yes, this does not mean that people do not feel pain. But it also reminds me to be grateful for another morning I got to wake up, another day I get to fell the sun on my face, another day I got too tell people I love them. The only way I know how to honor people that are hurting is to offer help and live an empowered life surrounded by positive people.
if we truly believe the world is abundant then we will search and find the seed of equivalent benefit to any obstacle or challenge that comes to us. It is from here I believe we create and develop strength.
In short, this is how my business helps the world – perspective. We are going to want to choose an empowering perspective no matter what’s happening around us. One that makes us feel good and facilitates a greater self-worth. From here we can create greatness.
What should our readers know about your business?
I gave up a very comfortable, well-paying job to attack fulfillment from every avenue. I am an international speaker and consultant and known mostly for my keynote: Mindset Fitness.
I teach individuals and corporations simple and easy strategies to increase quality of life and business so we can rise above the two biggest dream killers of them all; procrastination and negativity. I believe this can help us solve the world’s happiness problem.
I basically hemorrhaged money for the first year of my business, but truly believed in two things: My ability to adapt and my ability to ask for help. That’s what kept me going and what’s gotten me to where I’m at today. It was extremely challenging, but I believe asking for help is one of the greatest skills on the planet that we can develop.
I want the world to know that wee all have greatness within us and that we can all adapt no matter what storms are in front of us. When we look at the people that have created greatness in the world, they all struggled, they all had doubt. I want people to view the world in a positive light and see it through a lens that allows us to see that this is the greatest time in human history to be alive.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
David Meltzer – the ultimate mentor. “Find the lessons in the suck” he always says. He has been a massive impact in my life and I proudly consider myself one of his 1,000 people to inspire a 1,000 people to inspire 1,000 people to be happy – 1 billion people.
