We had the good fortune of connecting with Carly Williams and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Carly, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
I have always been in the camp of taking the leap. In the early years, I would be really nervous to. Kind of felt like I was cliff jumping and it scared of the what ifs…
Now, 15 years into entrepuenarship, I have found the process slightly easier, the calculations of risk/reward/ROI to be more straight forward. I now am more fluent in that language and has made entrepuenarship more fun and a bit more light-hearted.
What should our readers know about your business?
High Noon Floral is not my first business and certainly not my last. In 2015 I purchased a floral company from a colleague and revamped that to be a nationwide shipping company for florals. That company carried me into Forbes as best flower delivery service in the country: a title I had on my bucket list since day one. And in pure entrenpuar fashion, I wanted to curate a company that still told the story of florals in a boutique way for couples in private events and corporate gatherings. Thus, High Noon Floral was born.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I love when my family and friends from out of town come to visit!
My favorite spots are in Long Beach – where I proudly reside.
We would start with a beach walk with Colossus coffee and pastry in hand. From there, we would hit the Win-Dow for smash burgers and Sushi Nikkei for dinner. In between that, we would paddle board Naples and lay out on the beach before playing a game of pickleball.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Someone said it to me once: the most attractive thing about you is the company I keep. I’ll never forget that. So this shoutout is for the people who are in the inner circle of my life. Those whom have held my heart as I bore it out creatively to the public for the last 15 years and have privately worked out the kinks of being a business owner in one of the most competitive cities in the country. Those men and women are the real MVPS of my life and I can’t say enough about what friendship and family who are safe has meant and continues to mean to me.
