Meet Caroline Min | Board Certified Plastic Surgeon

We had the good fortune of connecting with Caroline Min and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Caroline, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I worked for many years as an employee of a health care organization. In the beginning, it was physician led but with subsequent mergers and growth, the group came to be owned by United Health Care. The focus was no longer on providing the best patient care but on saving money and maximizing profits. By establishing my own private practice, I am able to provide my patients with individual attention and personalized top notch care, something I could no longer do when I was employed.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
As a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon with over 17 years of experience, I am proud to offer personalized care at my boutique private practice in Pasadena, California. My philosophy centers on achieving natural results to softly rejuvenate and enhance confidence.
As a mother of two, I understand the physical and emotional changes women experience during pregnancy and child-rearing. This perspective allows me to connect with my patients on a personal level and tailor treatments to their unique needs. I have expertise in both surgical and non-surgical procedures and offer advanced injectable treatments with hyaluronic acid fillers such as Juvederm. Precision, artistry, and safety are at the core of my practice and I always strive to achieve optimal outcomes.
Starting my private practice from the ground up has been a challenging yet rewarding journey. It has given me a deeper appreciation for the business side of medicine and the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with my patients. I look forward to expanding my practice and helping more individuals look and feel their best.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Los Angeles has some of the greatest weather in the country so I would showcase that. Go on a hike, hit the beaches, be outside in the great outdoors. I love the Getty Museum as well as the Huntington Gardens.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to dedicate my shoutout to my colleagues who have encouraged and supported me during this transitional period in my career. Learning how to run a small business after being an employee for so many years is no small feat.
