We had the good fortune of connecting with Cassia LeBron-Williams and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Cassia, can you share a quote or affirmation with us?
“When you think about growth, think of a rose. For the rose to prosper, it must be watered and pruned.”

This quote is taken from my book, “Live Your Notes.” I love this quote because a rose is known for its beauty, but not always the work put in. Before the rose is presented or gifted, it must first be pruned of its thorns and leaves. And to maintain the life of the rose, it must be watered and properly cared for. This is how I see my journey. Becoming who I am meant to be will not be a pretty picture all the time. Self-development requires authenticity, openness, and honesty. For restoration to occur, we must face reality and pluck out the habits, thought patterns, and actions hindering our growth. As we continually take these steps, we will bloom into the beautiful rose we were meant to be.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
While attending Indiana University, I wanted to create a platform to encourage my peers to push forward in their studies and pursue their passions. During that time, I allowed fear and doubt to take over the things I envisioned for LiveYourNotes. Fast forward some years, I began to be more consistent with the platform. When I started, I was not as open with my audience. But doing so, I learned how effective it is to show people that we all have hard times, tough times, but we can also come back from that with God. And go further than we can ever imagine. I tell my audience now that the content I share is what I have been through, is going through, or what God has shared with me. I want the world to know that LiveYourNotes is all about living the life that God has designed for you. It is not a life of competition; it is focusing solely on your life’s journey. And once you step into the calling God has placed on your life, you can then go out and be the answer for the problems of many. This is the message behind the clothing that I am selling, as well as my book, “Live Your Notes.” I also provide free monthly group sessions where the community members discuss various topics and encourage one another. What sets LiveYourNotes apart from other businesses is that many want something from their consumers, but I am looking for consumers to get something from me and the services I provide.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My former mentor has encouraged me, seen me fall, and get back up multiple times! She has poured nothing but love, support, and light into me. Mrs. Velshonna Luckey, CEO of Pendulum Consulting/Living in The Rest, is a pearl of great wisdom and a faithful woman. As a youth, she saw the gifts I possessed and helped to guide me on my path. When I wanted to give up on my ministry, LiveYourNotes, Mrs. V was one of a few people that pushed me to go back to it. She is an educator, a leader, and an innovator. I thank her for the push that she has given me over all the years. It took some time to realize that I have a ‘special something’ to share with others, but she helped me get to this point.
