Meet Cecille A Forsyth Rios | Actor, Creative, & Social Media Manager

We had the good fortune of connecting with Cecille A Forsyth Rios and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Cecille A, how do you think about risk?
I started off my business with barely any knowledge of how to run a business. I started working early pandemic in 2020. Newly graduated, no job offers, and a set of skills that I wasn’t sure how to monetize. After a lot of trial and error, I figured out a rhythm and found some clients. I’ve gotten to work on some really fun and interesting marketing teams. There are risks and consequences for all of our decisions. I just decided that I had to shamelessly try and so far its been pretty good!

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Most of my work has been in the entertainment industry and in social media marketing. Throughout the process, I learned that Social Media is an extremely powerful tool, especially for artists like me. Yes, of course, I’ve worked with a variety of people. I worked with a mental health group that focused on providing services to the BIPOC community, with an architect and author publishing his book, and with a company that focuses on Identity Based Management systems for other companies. Throughout this process, I have found that despite the topics varying so widely, I want to help people with the skills and lessons that I have learned from this business. I am currently in the middle of creating a brand that fuses all of the things I love into one: Mental health, entertainment, fashion, and storytelling. I wouldn’t have been able to come up with this idea if it hadn’t been for this journey filled with all of these topics and these wonderful people. I think that’s the biggest lesson I’ve learned so far; no matter how different we may seem we connect in one way or another and we just need to make the effort to connect the dots.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
My bestie and I are pretty big workaholics so we would probably find places to work together during the day like coffee shops and then go out during the night. One of my favorite coffee shops is in Larchmont called Brick and Scones. They have great coffee drinks and a delish chicken sandwich. Another great coffee shop to work from is Cafecito Organico in Silverlake. I’m a sucker for little patio areas and theirs is super cute. After our work is done, we’d probably go get tacos from Tacos 1986, a little pricy but soooooo worth it. I would take my bestie to the Edmon for drinks and appetizers. They have a great outdoor patio and a cucumber daiquiri during happy hour that is to die for. I love comedy shows and I have some friends that put on a monthly show called Tittie Committee at El Cid, but if they don’t have a show I also love the shows that Don’t Tell Comedy put together. After the show you’l probably find us at Zebulon having drinks and dancing.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Oh, man! There are so many people that have helped me along the way! My extremely talented friend, Laura got me my first gig, my mentors Daphnie and Ronnie helped me through meltdowns, and with realigning my goals, my mom is always my number one confidant, and my dad for showing me that business just like in life is about taking risks and failing is just a part of it all. Oh and of course Sylvio for recommending me for this interview, thanks, buddy.
