In my pursuit of independence as a woman, I’ve faced challenges in the workplace related to pay inequality, sexual harassment, and unhealthy power dynamics. This inspired me to establish my own brokerage rather than continue building someone else’s success. While it might not have been the easiest path, it has been profoundly rewarding. My mission is to empower girls and women to recognize their potential, encouraging them to thrive as businesswomen, entrepreneurs, CEOs, and in any role they aspire to. Regardless of the challenges, this mission drives me. Financial independence for a woman is not merely a luxury, but a necessity. It’s not about diminishing the joy of a gentleman courting his lady, but rather about establishing equality and healthy power dynamics in any relationship between a woman and a man.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?

I would start the week with a day in Malibu, my favorite ‘getaway’ within the city. The stunning sunsets at El Matador Beach and the impressive rock formations are not to be missed, while Point Dume is another absolute favorite with its breathtaking views. Both spots provide a serene and beautiful escape from the hustle and bustle.

For friends who are active and love nature, I’d plan a day of hiking, which is one of my absolute favorite activities. The city offers a variety of trails with different levels of difficulty and scenery, perfect for soaking in the natural beauty and getting some exercise at the same time.

In the evenings, we would have to check out the local live music scene. There’s something incredibly energizing and intimate about enjoying music up close, with talented artists performing a wide range of genres. It’s a fantastic way to spend the night, whether you’re looking to relax or dance the night away.

When it comes to social activities, I’m actively involved with the Beverly Hills Chamber of Commerce, serving as the Director of Membership for the Women Business Network Committee. Being a member of the Chamber and serving in this position provides me with the opportunity to participate in a variety of enjoyable events hosted by the Chamber. These gatherings are not only pleasurable but also provide excellent networking opportunities. I always look forward to engaging with like-minded professionals and entrepreneurs at these events, as they create a space for meeting interesting individuals and fostering valuable connections in the community.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?

I’ve been fortunate to have the love and support of great mentors in my life. Catherine Fitzmaurice and Saul Kotzubei have been more than just mentors to me; they have acted as teachers, friends, and my chosen family here in America, providing a decade of unwavering support. Words fail to express the deep love and gratitude I hold for them.

Meeting Saul during a challenging time in my life was pivotal. He was the person who believed in me, providing the strength needed to persevere. In life, we often hope for many to believe in us, but sometimes it only takes one person’s belief to instill the strength to keep going; for me, that person was Saul.

Catherine’s support, both past and present, has been incredibly inspiring. Her drive and spirit fuel me every single time we interact. Her fearlessness and willingness to take risks serve as a commendable example that I strive to mirror.
