Meet Chanel Jackson | Real Estate Advisor

We had the good fortune of connecting with Chanel Jackson and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Chanel, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
I think risks are absolutely necessary. To me, sometimes being put in a “do or die” scenario is a sure way to propel further in your goal. It can be stressful and scary to do. But what’s worse is doing absolutely nothing. Taking risks in my life/career have ended up helping me define what I want and don’t want for my life/career. Furthermore, the wisdom I walked away with to help me make better choices in the future has stayed with me. It isn’t always pretty, but there is reward in risk taking.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am real estate advisor who specializes in providing clients with hard analytic data to help them make well informed decisions in their real estate investments. I don’t rely on opinions about the real estate market just pure facts. I have worked in and out of the industry for over a decade by helping other brokers and companies succeed. I made the decision to do that for myself and my business. It hasn’t been easy. Establishing yourself as a reliable expert requires experience and putting time in. In the beginning when you don’t have that, you have to prove yourself. I have overcome that challenge by simply knowing my stuff and always being a learner no matter what I think I already know. When people see that you know what you’re talking about and genuinely care about them and their asset, it builds trust. That has been monumental in overcoming being the ‘new kid on the block’. I’ve learned that no matter how hard you work or prepared you are, there are always going to be factors out of your control. Instead of letting things get you down, have a solution based mindset. There’s always a solution! I want the world to know that true compassion and professionalism can coexist. You excel by helping others. No matter your accomplishments or money in the bank, service to others is superior.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If you are in the South Jersey area, you definitely want to check out the Seabar in Williamstown for the best seafood around. If you’re in the mood for live music and Cajun inspired cuisine, Essie’s Restaurant in Clementon is worth visiting. Visit Sister’s Spot Kitchen for a quick-bite yet elevated taste of soul food cuisine in Pennsauken. Stop by the Promenade in Marlton for premium shopping and dining. You’ll find everything under the sun at Garden State Park in Cherry Hill from shopping, dining to entertainment. I would also suggest exploring the downtown historic district of Collingswood for local shopping and diverse dining options. If you need something sweet to eat I would highly recommend the Puddin Palace and/or Yummies Palace in Oaklyn. They are side by side and have so many options of unique desserts, ice cream flavors you can’t find anywhere else, water ice and so much more! If you want to visit the city, Philly is just a few minutes away!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My beautiful babies, Marciana and Cayleigh, who keep me going. My late Aunt Dee, who encouraged and mentored me when I was studying real estate. My family and friends, who continue to support my business and refer me any chance they get. My co-ops and business partners that I have collaborated with to help serve my clients at the highest level. Thank you.
