We had the good fortune of connecting with Chani Jindal and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Chani, how has your work-life balance changed over time?
I honestly struggle with work-life balance sometimes. In the present day hustle culture, it gets tricky to prioritize peace, quiet, and recovery over what could feel like a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. However, over time I’ve learned that saying NO is a medicine that we all need to start taking. I’m learning to listen to my mind and body and say yes only to things that truly align with my goals and my energy

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’m a model, actress, and a content creator. These are all very different lines of work but they share the same language of art. To be a model is like bringing life to another person’s vision and communicating it through your movements and expressions. To be an actress it’s very important to be in touch with your emotions and be able to invoke the right feelings in front of the camera. To be a content creator is where you bring your own vision to life. For me, fashion has always been my favorite way to express myself whether it is through modeling or content creation. Experimenting with different styles and outfits is my love language.

The most important lesson I’ve learned along the way—and one I have to constantly remind myself of, because it’s so easy to forget—is to to have fun and enjoy the process. If you enjoy what you are doing and stop caring about what people might think, you will unlock new levels of creativity

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I’d want to give them a true LA experience and not the typical touristy one. My favorite thing to do in LA is thrifting. I would take them to Silverlake and maybe some flea markets for some authentic LA thrifting. After that, we could head to the Grove to grab a coffee, walk around, and chill. Then I’d take them to a Pilates class and maybe a cold plunge experience. We could end the day at the beach with some delicious takeout from the Urth Cafe while watching the sunset.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My mom and my partner Chris definitely deserve the biggest shoutout in my story. My mom made me the person I am today. She taught me my love for art and perseverance. She taught me to have a love for healthy competition and never give up on my dreams. And I want to thank my partner for being the biggest support system in my current journey. I hope to always have these two in my life.
