We had the good fortune of connecting with Char Modelle and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Char, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?

My thought process behind me starting my own business: I want to work remotely, and I want to work for myself. I started thinking about the life I wanted to have, a long with the impact I wanted to make. I knew with the experience I was building I was good working with social media, and creatively with content and branding ideas.

I decided to package this into a business to help brands grow online. I wanted to see them come to life. I had worked in tradeshows. events, and promotions with well over a 100 brands in the last decade, and they all had a common need = social media. Every single brand needed to find away to express its vision and its offer online in a way that helped it grow and increase sales.

So my focus has been on two areas: branding, and instagram. How to build your brand so it stands out, and how to funnel it through Instagram in a way that connects and sells. Even though I specialize in Instagram, I teach on social media strategy overall when I work with clients.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?

I help entrepreneurs level up their brand(s), and grow their business through Instagram and other social media platforms.

I have 3 main offers:

Flip the Gram: This is my white glove service. I help entrepreneurs glow-up online. This is my art. Hand me your Instagram and I will give it a complete overhaul. You are given a plan of execution, content strategy. brand development, and content to start. The cool thing is you are compressing 10+ years of experience into a plan I hand you, and I walk you through it. This program is typically a month long of design and development. It will give you processes, and a direction to not only grow online, but in business overall. I have case studies to back what I do.

Secondly: I cut reels. I run an editing team and we cut long form footage into reels. You want to stand out online? You need good video content that can be used on multiple platforms.

And lastly, if you want a consulting call, I offer those to. You can buy them in packages. You will learn strategies that you don’t find in the mainstream market that have been tested by the best.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If I were visiting my best friend, who happens to live in California =) I would take her to Urth Cafe. Then we would take her with me on a bike ride in Santa Monica. There is just something invigoration about a bike ride near the ocean. It literally brings me back to life. I like to explore. I don’t need a packed day. just good coffee, nature, and conversation. It puts me on cloud 9.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?

My client and friend, Codie Sanchez, founder of Contrarian Thinking.

A year ago she hired me to take over her Instagram and help with multiple areas in the business. I had to grow into the shoes needed to fill this spot. She has been a catalyst in my learning, as I have to her Instagram and brand development. She is on a mission to financially free 1 million, and create 100k biz owners. It’s been a cool adventure to be on with her.
