Meet Charlie Marshall | US Navy Vet, Actor and Personal Trainer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Charlie Marshall and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Charlie, why did you pursue a creative career?
I’ve never really saw myself pursuing a creative career until I started managing my younger brother Jeff back when he was in middle school and I was in college. He was my dancer little brother and I was his videographer, photographer, editor, social media manager and lots of times his guardian at his rehearsals and shoots. It was my passion to help him grow his career at a young age that sparked the love for the entertainment industry and the hope of fully pursuing it for myself one day.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I started working in the entertainment industry as a manager for my brother and other young artists back in Dallas, TX. I than started me my acting career there as well which actually started in High School where I acted in a few plays. But my first time being on set was during the time I was just a college student and manager of NXT an nonprofit I had started to help rising young artists. I got really sick in 2015 that forced me to take a break from managing and acting and it wasn’t easy to come back after recovering. I felt stuck and lost so I decided to join the US Navy which is how I have ended up here in California. But I never really was able to let go of the artist creative urges that was within me. So while being in I decided to continue to pursue acting and even got into fitness modeling. I got signed to Movement Talent Agency in 2018 for fitness modeling and commercials then in 2020 I got signed with Starburst Talent Agency for acting. It was a bit hard to book or audition for things due to still being Active Duty, but I did what I could when I could. I never gave up though which is why I believe I’m this far in my career now and now that my 6 years of my military contract ended this year in August. My focus has been to take on more projects and be in more productions as much as possible. I even started my own podcast called “The Fit View” which people can watch on YouTube, Fit TV Network and listen on Spotify and Apple. I want people to know I have a lot to offer. I act, I model, I am a certified personal trainer and I create enjoyable content that will either make you laugh and motivate you.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to thank my brother Jeff for allowing me to be apart of his journey which in turn help me find my passion. I want to thank my mom for always supporting the career paths and believing in me even when I doubted myself. Thanks to my family and friends who helped me and supported all of my projects and ideas because without them I wouldn’t have gotten this far in my career. Thanks to all the photographers, videographers, directors, producers and assistants that allowed me to be a part of their projects, shoots and productions because without them all seeing that special light in me and believing in me for to make their ideas come to life, I wouldn’t have the experience I do now.
