We had the good fortune of connecting with Charlie Stardom and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Charlie, what’s something about your industry that outsiders are probably unaware of?
No one is going to do anything for you. Learn and do it yourself or build a solid team.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I moved to LA in 2015 to follow my dreams and take a shot at the music industry. The transition was not easy but it’s definitely been rewarding. I overcame challenges by setting goals and building up my network of creatives to form my village. I learned that collaboration is key! I can write and record by myself but it’s more fun working with others. I want the world to hear my music and get inspired to love and spread more love less hate!
My new album “Why is the Sky Blue?” is coming very soon. The first single from the project “Connect” is available now on all streaming services.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would take my friends to visit Uncle Paulie’s, Jon & Vinny’s or Sweet Chick (just depends on how busy each place is). I would also take them down the PCH and show them the amazing ocean views!!
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to dedicate this article to my father Charles Johnson Sr. He saw my talent early and quickly began showing me the ropes of the entertainment industry.
