Hi Chase, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
My thought process behind starting my own business was deeply rooted in a desire to create meaningful change and leave a positive mark on the world. I have always believed that my purpose extends beyond personal achievements to making a difference for others. This conviction fueled my decision to build Vizion Solar, a company that aligns with my passion for sustainability, innovation, and leadership. For me, entrepreneurship is about more than financial gain—it’s about creating a legacy that uplifts others and inspires positive change.

In managing my business, my approach to finances reflects this mindset. I treat every expense as an investment that must bring significant returns, whether through growth, team culture, or personal development. I view money as an energy cycle; when invested with intention, it returns in value. This financial philosophy not only supports the growth of my business but also mirrors my belief that well-directed efforts yield far-reaching rewards.

Risk-taking was essential in shaping my journey to becoming a business owner. I see risk not as a leap into the unknown but as a calculated step toward growth when backed by knowledge and strategy. Starting Vizion Solar involved taking bold, informed risks that allowed me to push past conventional limits and explore new avenues of potential. Embracing risk has been vital in fostering resilience and innovation, turning challenges into opportunities.

The thought process behind my business venture was influenced by my background in Wasilla, Alaska. Growing up in a small, modest town taught me resilience, hard work, and the value of integrity and community. These principles are woven into the DNA of Vizion Solar, driving me to ensure that the company stands for more than profit—it stands for leaving a positive legacy that echoes those values.

One of the guiding principles behind my business is my commitment to being the greatest version of myself. I believe that when you dedicate yourself to constant self-improvement, you inspire others to do the same. This dedication influences the way I lead, invest, and approach my work at Vizion Solar. The ripple effect of striving for excellence isn’t just personal—it enriches everyone around me, fostering a culture of growth and positivity.

Work-life balance is another aspect that my entrepreneurial journey has redefined. Initially, the process of building a business blurred the boundaries between work and personal life. Over time, I learned that true balance comes not from dividing my time evenly but from maximizing efficiency and productivity in my work. This enables me to end each day with fulfillment, being present for my family and more grounded than when I started.

Even when considering the future, my thought process is shaped by an ongoing commitment to growth rather than a fixed end goal. I don’t see my career as having an endpoint but rather as an evolving journey. I aspire to scale Vizion Solar to $100 million in revenue, but beyond that, my goal is to use that platform to share lessons, inspire others, and create an even broader impact. This perspective ensures that my focus remains on continuous improvement, sustainable energy, and leadership that benefits others.

A significant influence on my thought process was The 10X Rule by Grant Cardone. This book reinforced the importance of thinking beyond the ordinary and committing fully to my vision. It motivated me to act boldly and push past limits, aligning perfectly with my belief that ambition should always be coupled with action for the greater good. This mindset shaped my journey as a business owner, reminding me that making a meaningful difference requires relentless effort and unwavering confidence.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
What sets me apart from others is my unwavering commitment to excellence and the belief that my work must contribute positively to the world. I don’t just see myself as a business owner; I see myself as someone who is driven by the desire to inspire and uplift others. This deep-rooted motivation is what fuels every decision I make at Vizion Solar. I’m proud of creating a company that isn’t just about profits but is aligned with integrity, sustainability, and making a real impact on people’s lives.

Getting to where I am today business-wise was far from easy. Building Vizion Solar has been a journey marked by both successes and formidable challenges. Starting and running a business means embracing risk, going all in, and constantly learning from every situation. One of the most critical lessons I’ve learned is that success demands consistent effort and belief in your vision, even when the odds seem stacked against you.

Overcoming challenges required me to see every setback as an opportunity for growth. I believe that true risk only exists when you lack understanding; knowing the data and the potential outcomes allowed me to take calculated risks confidently. This approach, combined with my philosophy that every financial and strategic decision should yield a positive return—be it monetary or emotional—helped me navigate obstacles and thrive despite them.

I learned that work-life balance evolves with time. Initially, the intense focus on growing my business blurred the line between personal and professional life, but I realized that to be truly effective, I needed to be fully present with my family. This led to a shift where I optimized my workday to come home as a better, more present person, which, in turn, balanced my life in a meaningful way.

The story of Vizion Solar is one of resilience, inspired by my responsibility to be the best version of myself—not just for personal growth, but to motivate those around me. The world should know that my story and that of Vizion Solar is about more than just business; it’s about commitment, passion, and a relentless pursuit of growth and positive impact. It’s about showing that when you take bold steps, commit fully, and surround yourself with supportive people, you can create something that not only stands out but also stands for something greater.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend were visiting, I’d plan a week that highlights the best of the local outdoor lifestyle. We’d kick things off with early morning bike rides along The Strand from Santa Monica to Hermosa Beach, stopping for breakfast at a beachside café. Afternoons would be spent surfing at Malibu’s Surfrider Beach, where we could catch some waves and enjoy the laid-back surf culture. Evenings would involve family-friendly beach picnics at Venice Beach, watching the sun set and enjoying the live music and vibrant atmosphere. To round out the week, we’d take a day to explore Manhattan Beach, grabbing lunch at one of the local spots and spending time just relaxing and enjoying the ocean breeze with my family.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to dedicate my shoutout to the countless individuals and groups that have shaped my journey, especially my family. Growing up in a modest town taught me the values of integrity, resilience, and the importance of supporting those around you. These early lessons have been the foundation of everything I strive to achieve.

A special mention goes to my wife, Heather, and my child, Ocean. Heather’s unwavering support, belief in my vision, and strength have been a constant source of motivation. She has stood by me through the highs and lows, making every victory more meaningful and every challenge more manageable. Ocean, with his boundless curiosity and joy, reminds me daily why I push forward—to build a future full of possibilities and inspiration for our children.

I also owe a great deal of recognition to the pioneers in the renewable energy sector whose work laid the groundwork for what Vizion Solar is today.
