Hi Chef Shani Davis, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important decision that contributed to my success, Starting off my culinary career at LMU Loyola Marymount University’. Mentored by Executive Chef Yavieshala Mitchell & Catering Director Carlos Mercado, which then presented the opportunity for me be the youngest chef to cater the DNC Democratic Debate 2019.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Growing up in a single parent household, cooking has always be love laughing for my family, from selling plates to the locals to catering & private chef to A list celebrities to now branding my own name now, fast forward to being a known chef in the city is one of many great accomplishments threw out the culinary career.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
My favorite spots to eat in la Is: bills tacos, Brollyhut, Jordan’s, & del Fresno’s.
The beach is a plus, the fairfax district is cool you gotta stop at all coolkicks location, the best sneaker and clothing store in la.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to thank god my and ancestors for keeping my path clear and my mind focused on my childhood dream being an young rising and successful chef Aspire to be daily.
