We had the good fortune of connecting with Chris Tos and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Chris, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The heart of my brand? It’s all about keeping it authentic, almost to a fault, if you can believe that. I’m out here, just laying it all out, you know? I dive headfirst into the deep end of my own quirks and insecurities, then come up for air with a joke in hand. It’s like, “Hey, if I can’t laugh at myself, what’s the point?” I think the reason that people enjoy my content is that it is raw and a little bit vulnerable. I put my cynical trolling and pop culture understanding at the forefront.

And let me tell you, I’m knee-deep in pop culture – it’s like my native language. I twist it, flip it, and serve it back with a side of sarcasm. But here’s the thing, it’s not just about the laughs. I like to bury little treasures in my content – call them easter eggs, hidden messages, whatever. They’re there to make you pause, maybe chuckle, and hopefully think a bit deeper.

Now, don’t get me wrong, I’m not just throwing stuff out there willy-nilly. There’s a method to the madness. Every joke, every sarcastic comment, it’s all about connecting, about sharing a moment of, “Yeah, I get that.” It’s about creating something that resonates, whether it’s with a handful of folks or a whole crowd. And sure, not everything’s a hit, but that’s the beauty of it. It’s all one big experiment, and I’m having the time of my life with it.

So, yeah, it’s not about chasing virality or playing it safe. It’s about being real, sharing what cracks me up, and hoping it lights up someone else’s day too. If it does, that’s the cherry on top.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
ou see, it’s the little moments that really light up my day, like when someone walks up after a show, eyes sparkling, and tells me, “You were the highlight of my night!” That’s the stuff that fuels my fire. And then, they hit that follow button on social media, slide into my DMs asking about the next gig – it’s like we’re building this awesome community one laugh at a time.

What makes me stand out? Well, I like to think it’s my commitment to not taking life too seriously. The comedy scene can get a bit gloomy with all the competition and envy, but hey, I’m all about spreading those good vibes. Being Greek and Albanian, hospitality runs in my veins – I can’t help but welcome everyone with open arms, making sure we’re all in for a good time. And nope, I don’t just play the ethnicity card in my act; it’s all about crafting jokes that resonate with everyone.

I’m pretty much an open book – throwing every idea I’ve got out there, whether it’s online or on stage. Constantly watching my own stuff, critiquing, learning, evolving – it’s like comedy boot camp, but self-inflicted! I’ve got this insatiable need to keep the laughter rolling, tweaking my material on the fly to keep the vibe alive.

Opening up about my insecurities, embracing my quirks – that was a journey, but now, it’s like my superpower. Being real, being me, and always ready with a joke, that’s my mantra. It wasn’t a walk in the park getting here, but embracing that authentic self, that’s what makes all the difference. So, world, just know this – I’m here to make you laugh, think, and maybe just brighten your day a bit. That’s what it’s all about, right?

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
In LA? A week Itinerary, huh? I would take my friends to Venice Beach, the boardwalks and stuff. I also like Santa Monica and a lot of the vintage shops around. LA has great Mexican food. I feel like that can all be done in 2 days, But in LA that would take a week because we would be in traffic most of the time.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Oh, where do I even begin with the roll call of legends behind this comedy journey of mine? Top of the list, my Mom – the OG audience of one, who’s been laughing (or at least pretending to) at my antics since day one. Even in the tough times, she was the first to chuckle at my jokes, setting the bar for my future gigs. And even when my humor flies way over her head, she’s still front row even from far away, cheering the loudest.

Then there’s my rock, my wife, who somehow puts up with the whirlwind of shows, endless video shoots, and my constant scribbling of new material. She gets it – this isn’t just a hobby; it’s my calling, and she’s been my unwavering support system, making all this possible.

Can’t forget my brother – practically my shadow at pretty much every show, my toughest critic, and yet, my biggest promoter. If I can crack him up, I know I’m onto a winner. And then there’s Richie, my partner in comedic crime, who nudged me from my comfort zone and into the spotlight, becoming an integral part of those dumb skits some people love.

A shoutout to Judson, the voice that steered me back to stand-up, reminding me where my roots are. And Jesse, my creative other half, who’s been instrumental in bringing our wilder visions to life on screen.

Big ups to Comedians on the Loose and Laughing Buddha Comedy for giving me the playground to experiment, and to the brave souls at Broadway Comedy Club who gambled on this wildcard.

And, of course, the squad – Adrian, Eugene, Hector, Joey, Raffy, Victor, Greg, Tom, Domo, and so many more make up the entire gang. These folks are more than just an audience; they’re the backbone of every gag, every line, every laugh.

Each one of them has played a part in this madcap adventure, and I’m just here trying to make sense of the script we’re all writing together. Here’s to more laughs, more gags, and more unforgettable nights. Cheers to the ensemble cast of my life.
