We had the good fortune of connecting with Chrissy Clark and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Chrissy, what’s your definition for success?
Success, to me, is waking up each day with a genuine excitement for the opportunities ahead. I believe a truly successful person remains humble and constantly seeks ways to improve and grow, rather than focusing on their past accomplishments. For me, success goes beyond financial gain; it’s about striving to bring smiles to others’ faces and making a lasting, positive impact. As someone who creates unforgettable experiences during some of life’s most cherished moments, I define my success by transcending my clients’ wildest dreams.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Starting a business is a daunting journey, with many risks and uncertainties. Amidst the challenges, I’ve discovered that sheer determination and hard work aren’t always enough; passion is the driving force that sustains you through the darkest of times. My journey has been guided by intuition—listening to my gut and choosing the right path. In the early days, I learned many lessons the hard way, especially navigating the complexities of permits, exacerbated by the uncertainties of starting during COVID-19. There were moments when I considered giving up, overwhelmed by the stress of events and unclear regulations. However, seeing the joy on my clients’ faces made every challenge worthwhile, reaffirming my commitment to persevere. After four years in business, I’ve learned to embrace the unknown with resilience. Time management and contingency planning have become second nature, knowing that setbacks are inevitable. Despite the hurdles, I wouldn’t trade this journey for anything—it has shaped me and my business into what it is today.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
As a Connecticut native, my best friend has visited LA countless times, so here are the top spots I have taken her to truly experience the city without breaking the bank.

Arriving on a Monday at LAX, tired yet eager to explore? Start nearby at the High Rooftop Lounge at Hotel Erwin in Venice! Visit between 1-4pm for their happy hour specials and breathtaking views. Afterward, head downstairs to Belles Beach House for their 4pm happy hour, featuring killer deals on the delicious Maui Waui slushie and tropical disco vibes. Take a leisurely stroll along the strand to soak in Venice’s unique beach town atmosphere.
On Tuesday, hop over to neighboring Santa Monica. Begin your day with delicious smoothies at Backyard Bowls for breakfast. For lunch, be amazed by the all-glass elevator ride up to the Penthouse restaurant at The Huntley for their $35 three-course lunch menu. End the day with soppressata pizza at Elephante, enjoying breathtaking sunset ocean views. If you’re up for the crowds at Santa Monica Pier, treat yourself to the best churros with dulce de leche from a vendor at the pier’s entrance. This area can be bustling, but it’s a blast if you enjoy fair games and rides!
Wednesday calls for catching some waves at Will Rogers State Beach, famous for filming the original Baywatch. On Thursday, head to Hollywood for a scenic hike to the Hollywood Sign, followed by lunch at the iconic Sur Restaurant for their addictive fried goat cheese balls. Take a stroll along the Walk of Fame and cap off the day at the vibrant Mama Shelter.
Friday night is perfect for catching a Lakers game and exploring the entertaining LA Live area. On Saturday, unwind in the South Bay; the hills of Manhattan Beach offer mesmerizing views of their iconic pier, and renting a bike to ride along the pier is a must-do.
Wrap up your trip on Sunday with a “Coffee n Chill” event, a quintessential LA experience. Join locals for an ice bath and coffee, the perfect start to your last day in this amazing city

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
After graduating from college, a friend recommended I read Meg Jay’s transformative book, ‘The Defining Decade’. Its profound insights inspired me to take a leap: I left my office job and launched my business Instagram account. None of this journey would have been possible without the unwavering support of my incredible family. They stepped in at every turn: my brother, Travis, swapped cars with me because my two-seater convertible wasn’t practical for events; my mother-in-law, Stacey, helped me gather inventory; my sister, Brittney, offered to be my first client so I could generate content for my Instagram; and my husband, Quinn, assisted with countless event setups and breakdowns. Throughout all the ups and downs, my compassionate father, Jamie, provided endless emotional support. Their collective belief in me sustained my entrepreneurial spirit and helped turn my passion into reality.
