Meet Christian Danielle | The Creative

We had the good fortune of connecting with Christian Danielle and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Christian, is there something you believe many others might not?
I disagree with the ideals of a business person being up at 5am everyday to run things efficiently. I personally do some of my best creating at night. My mind is more open at 2am than 5-9am. As long as I wake up in time to ship my packages and get whatever supplies I may need I’m GUCCI! Most of my revenue has come from the labor I put in during the wee hours! Now do I look like Raccoon some days suuurrreee but I’m not a broke raccoon lol!
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
So I started painting my feelings while dealing with depression. Fast forward to last year I published my coloring book “Aye Depression Ya Mama’s A Hoe”. It is 57 pages of original art work , guided journal pages & mental health resources. Plus I curated playlist QR code to vibe too while you’re working through the book.
What sets me apart is that what I created is legit the first of its kind. You get to see that a complete stranger has the exact same feeling you have some times.
Honestly, When I get that gut wrenching fear feeling I know I’m on the right path. That has been my professional compass.
Was it easy? lol nothing is EVER easy. Some challenges I didn’t overcome, I just quit and moved on. I believe that this time around I couldn’t quit if I tried. I know that I created something special and getting it out to the masses was the only option I had/have. I still have my pockets of sadness but I don’t stay there anymore. I have a story to tell and women to help!
The biggest lesson learned was to take that mental break when needed. Ask for help when you feel like your back is against the wall. You are important and you matter!!
Hey World… Its me ya Girl! I battle with Depression and Anxiety & I also run a couple businesses. My coloring book really really helps, the reviews always bring me to tears. To Know that I mail a portion of my heart to someone and they love it makes me hella emotional.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’m unsure if this is allowed lol but my friends like food , weed & naps! The itinerary would be grabbing a breakfast burrito from Fabulous off Crenshaw. Then a drive up the coast smoking, listening to music and looking at the water. Then boom NAP! Then see if they want take out or to a sit down restaurant, but typically my friends just want me to cook all the time. (Worked as a Private Chef for awhile) Im boring baby lol I have a great time in the house, the anxiety is low in here. Now I would take them to the observatory because that’s a vibe. Other than that I would have to ask my little sisters where to hang out, they’re the social butterflies. We would definitely hit Big E’s Pizza in Long Beach, Red O in Orange County, Steves off El Segundo. One thing I know depending on the friend we’d either be shopping on Melrose or at the Alley in the garment district. Now add in 7 more Naps & trip is over lol!
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Nakia Hanson!! She is a Trauma Recovery Coach & also my auntie. We didn’t have much of a relationship until Depression came into the picture for me back in 2018. Her prompts and guidance have given me the courage to get back out there and show up to my life. She validated my feelings while giving tough love, which I also needed. I’m forever grateful for the time she took out of here day to be my accountability partner. Plus She helps so many women that are survivors of child sexual abuse, rape, and dating/ domestic violence.
