We had the good fortune of connecting with Christian Haynes and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Christian, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
I’ve always been a creative person and wanted to have a career where I had the opportunity to explore my creative ideas. I was pretty scared of pursuing a creative career because I didn’t think that it would be practical, so I at first decided to pursue stable jobs. But after a while, I just wasn’t feeling fulfilled creatively and I came to the point where I really wanted to pursue my passions. Once I did that, I felt so much more myself and motivated to do what I love doing the most.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
What I’m most excited about with Zack In Time is seeing it finally come to life. I’ve had the idea for it since 2014 and it’s so cool to see different artists and animators coming on board to help see my vision become a reality. Getting a crew together wasn’t easy, but I’m so grateful for having my producer, Paige Powell-Revis, on my side to help me move this project forward to be the best that it can be. I’ve learned so much making this project and excited for what’s next!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
A place that I would recommend to a friend who was visiting the area for the week would be the Hollywood walk of fame because of all of the history behind it. I always enjoyed looking at all of the stars along the sidewalk with the names of actors and filmmakers. Another place that I would recommend would be the Hollywood sign because it’s such an iconic place and is very cool to see in person. The trail to get close to the sign is also very enjoyable to walk down.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
The person that deserves a lot of the credit in my story is my wife Kristen. She has supported me ever since I first told her about the idea for Zack In Time. Every time that I had doubts about whether or not the project would be successful, she would always give me the encouragement I needed to keep pursuing my dream. She has also been there to listen to me vent out my frustrations and cheer my on during my excitement of the project’s progress. She’s the best!
