We had the good fortune of connecting with Christina Brophy and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Christina, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important factor behind the success of The Women’s Empowerment Network is that our is foundation is solid. The organization stemmed from passion, is ran with integrity, and led by a team with a desire to make real change in the lives of women and youth coming from all walks of life .

What should our readers know about your business?
Through storytelling, conferences, workshops, our events have brought together thousands of women to find community, support groups, professional help, and freedom!

I began my career in 2018 with my first women’s conference, The Women’s Empowerment Expo in Ventura, CA, and The Women’s Empowerment Expo in Los Angeles, CA. The first two events created a marketplace for 200+ female entrepreneurs and an atmosphere for 1,500 women and girls.

In my first two years of producing events, I received multiple awards from CA Mayor, Eric Garcetti for Economic Global Empowerment and The Community Service Award for serving the Latino Community in Los Angeles, CA.

Through the organization we have created hundreds of partnerships and received sponsorships from: Los Angeles Times. I was fortunate enough to be listed as one of LA Style Magazine’’s Top 100 Women in Power” in Los Angeles, CA.

Today, I am working hard to still be a light for women nationally and internationally. I am focused on her on The Women’s Empowerment Expo set for Jan 29. ,2022 , my community, organizing women’s drives, support groups, and running my non-profit organization, The Women’s Empowerment Network.

My international work launched at the beginning of February 2021 as Co-founder of RAD, an initiative to Raise Awareness, Advocate and Distribute feminine hygiene products to women/children shelters and refugee camps in The Middle East and soon to be in Mexico.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend was coming I would check out the free hand hotel it has a cute hipster vibe! Mama shelter is super cute for brunch and be sure to hit up the downtown LA!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
The organization would not be as big as it were today without the support of my two right hand women, Vice President of The Women’s Empowerment Network Leen Alramlawi and our Executive Marketing Director Stephany Valencia.

A huge reason we are able to give back is because of our donors and organizations that have awarded us grants to create a bigger impact — The She Angels Foundation and The BRA Network.
