Meet Christopher Glenn | Artist | Creative | Singer | Songwriter

We had the good fortune of connecting with Christopher Glenn and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Christopher, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
I decided to pursue a career as an artist because it was time for me to put myself in front finally. I’ve been working in the industry for a while behind the scenes and I’ve always wanted to chase my dream of being an artist and putting out my own music. God ordained my steps throughout my 7 years of living here in LA and I was just getting all the knowledge and experience needed to apply to my career.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’m a singer/songwriter from Virginia. Influenced by my love of R&B, Gospel, and Neo-Soul music, I grew up singing in church at an early age and I immediately knew this was my gift. Seeing my mom sing in the choir activated my curiosity to sing and after being in multiple choirs and playing around with my voice I started to acknowledge that I could sing! It took me a while to actually be confident with my gift after years of cultivating and really working on myself I’ve become very confident in who I am as a person as well as an artist.
My most proud moment as an artist is finally putting out my own music, I just recently released my debut single “2H1L (2 Hearts 1 Life)” this song was inspired by a real-life experience. Dating and meeting someone you think is a great match and you’re ready to take that leap and make it official but the other person is hesitant and isn’t ready to make the commitment with you. I’m excited about releasing more music and my upcoming EP! I’m only at the beginning of an incredibly bright music career.
Today, looking back over the last 7 years living here in Los Angeles it hasn’t been easy at all, I faced a lot of challenges on this climb to success. My faith for sure kept me solid, surrounding myself around other creatives/artists, and having a plan helped me to overcome those challenges. The biggest lesson I learned along the way is that it’s never too late to go after my dreams. At times I wanted to give up and go back to Virginia but I stayed and endured the race. It is possible for you to achieve your goals, just focus, set goals, and put your mind to it and it will happen for you.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would definitely have to show them around the Valley first and hit up my favorite spots in Burbank. We’d have drinks and food at Over/Under Public House they have an amazing Happy Hour and the food is so good. Then we’d swing by the best doughnut shop in the Valley, The Doughnut Hut it’s an iconic spot and they are known for their freshly baked cake doughnuts never disappoints. Next, we’d hit up Hollywood and do the Hollywood Walk of Fame and show them around the hot spots in the area. After that, we have to go to Beverly Hills and have drinks at The Rooftop by JG, and after go to Rodeo Drive to do some light shopping. I love Malibu so I definitely would have to take them to Point Dume and enjoy the beach and sun. We’d also hit up DTLA and walk LA Live and have dinner at Fixins Soul Kitchen and finally end things in Inglewood at 1010 Wine they are known as Inglewood’s first and only wine bar with the largest selection of Black owned wines. There’s so many other places to explore in LA which is the beautiful thing about this city I love living here.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
First I have to Thank God for giving me my gifts and the ability to create. I also would like to shout out my mentors, my Mom, my family, and close friends (tribe) who have supported and encouraged me every step of the way on this journey.
