We had the good fortune of connecting with Christy B and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Christy, what role has risk played in your life or career?
A great business mentor once told me that life doesn’t reward you just for doing good work, it rewards boldness and consistency. If I look back on the greatest leaps I’ve made personally and professionally, a bold choice or action has always been at the center of it. Taking (educated) risks allows us to grow.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
At Christy B Home we curate high-end designer fabrics into customizable pillow collections. We have also begun developing our own textile line of exclusive original art prints – taking original canvas artwork and turning it into fabric for pillows and home decor. What sets us apart is our attention to detail and uncompromising approach to quality. For example, our custom pillows have interior lining, just like a bespoke garment.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Los Angeles is so chock-full of amazing spots it’s really impossible to touch on them all! I’m ALL about great food spots so I’d recommend: – happy hour steak tacos at The Golden Bull – BEST tacos ever (ya gotta go before 5pm)
– gluten-free breakfast pizza at Margos on Montana (seriously amazing vegan food – just tell them to go light on the red pepper flakes)
– brunch at Elephante – try the Bright Eyed cocktail and thank me later (if you’re still sober)
– Konbi in Echo Park for the best croissant you’ll ever find outside of Paris

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My husband has been a great supporter and believer in my goals and aspirations so without him, I would not be where I am.
