We had the good fortune of connecting with Claudia Meyer and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Claudia, Let’s talk about principles and values – what matters to you most?
Authenticity and honesty.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My work is inspired by Nature. But Architecture has a very strong influence on me. I made the choice to commit to my artistic passion early on. I enjoy every minutes of it, follow my instinct, keep creating and am always looking forward to the next project with excitement. That is what stimulates me. I also challenge myself constantly, look at my work from different perspectives, innovate, try new technics and approaches. And I use and experiment with all the tools, the technologies and the craftsmanship that I discover. I’d like to believe that my work is inspirational, deep, meaningful and original.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would take them to Joshua Tree park or on top of a mountain in Switzerland. Any places where peaceful contemplations are possible. Places where you feel connected to Nature and the miracle and beauty of life.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I had the privilege to have had both my parents detecting my creative skills early on. My father was an architect. And my mother loved traveling. They both fostered my creative and multi-disciplinary mind. I am forever thankful to them. That said, I owe much thanks to everyone believing, supporting and appreciating my Artworks. It’s always amazes and motivates me to find out that I generate interest and am triggering emotions in people’s life. It is a wonderful feeling.
