We had the good fortune of connecting with Cole Supple and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Cole, why did you pursue a creative career?
I first wanted to be a musician when I was only six years old. Big dream, little kid. It was all about the glamour at that age– singing tender love songs behind a rock’n’roll groove, onstage, in front of an ocean of people. And guess what– the dream hasn’t faded. The candle burns and the wax melts. Things have certainly changed as I’ve transitioned into adulthood. I’ve found deeper meaning in the art and deeper pitfalls in the process. Even with the lows, I never stray too far from a guitar or my songwriting notebook. It’s magnetic. The high is in this journey, as dynamic as it may be. Music puts my passion, energy, skill, and soul to use in a way that brings joy to my heart and peace to my mind. It’s the only way forward.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Serious. Dramatic. Passionate. These are words I use to describe my music and persona as an artist. I love creating music that speaks to the fundamental elements of being human and the people, places, and things we cherish and rely upon to bring meaning and purpose into our lives– God. Love. Art. Friends. Family. Moments. Quiet. Loud. Highs. Lows. I want to make music people will celebrate with when they’re up and cry to when they’re down. Songs people can get married to or remember a beautiful life with. Music people can find solace, stability, and trust in. And be a person/artist they can trust. What you hear is what you get— my music is an extension of myself and I want to represent the music as faithfully as it represents me.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I love visiting beaches in Malibu, the Griffith Observatory on a clear night or during the day to checkout the astronomy exhibits, and strolling through Oldtown Pasadena on a Friday night.
