We had the good fortune of connecting with Collin Littlejohn and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Collin, what do you attribute your success to?
Honesty. Growing up in Memphis, TN there is an emotional weight and “soul” that cannot be removed from all the music that I make. Art that makes you feel and is honest in the way that my life and “day to day” inspires and informs my art is the key to creating arrangements and songwriting that transcends notes on a page.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I think my unique brand as guitarist and songwriter is basing everything around the groove. “Groove is everything” is a quote that I live by and being able to celebrate excellence in guitar through the brands that I endorse Tausch Guitars, Eddie Wang Amps, Seymour Duncan pickups, and James Tyler Guitars. It is an honor to represent gear that I believe in as a guitar nerd from an absolute young age

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Living in historic downtown Los Angeles I absolutely love the historic buildings you walk by getting the best tacos around at Lucy’s to Cole’s, my favorite weekend dinner/drink spot to Venice beach with so many stories in the sand and boardwalk, to Koreatown’s hidden food spots it’s hard to go wrong almost anywhere you are

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
There are so many individuals that I could name that have inspired and empowered me as a musician throughout my younger years. As I have gotten older, songwriters that put out music not for financial gain but for artists expression, inspire me to keep honest in my arrangements and songwriting
