We had the good fortune of connecting with Conphidance and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Conphidance, what’s something about your industry that outsiders are probably unaware of?
The mental strength it takes to manage a business, play different characters, smile in front of flashing lights and go home to deal with personal matters that can be extreme but every time you’re in the public eye in any way, you’re expected to be top class, as if nothing else is going on in your life.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’m very proud to have been a star and face of Little America anthology series which earned me an Independent Spirit Award Nomination for Best Male Performance in a New Scripted Series. I’m very excited to lead an amazing TV show or feature film soon. I got to where I am today by the grace of God, courage, continuous effort to grow, finding innovative ways to accomplish goals, and faith. My brand is Cultured, Courageous, and Cheerful.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I will have to cook one of my specialties, not that I really want to feed my best friend but just to show off 🙂 We can head to the beaches after. They are nice and calming. Then, I would take them to eat at Simply Wholesome. It’s clean and oh my goodness, it takes delicious. We can hang out at the gym to practice some dance moves (hahah) and afterwards, we find wherever the African party for the weekend is at so we can do more dancing 🙂 Hiking is always exciting so we’ll visit some spots. Archery is becoming a thing for me now so shooting arrows, here we come 🙂
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’d like to shoutout my family and friends who supported me from the beginning. It was never about understanding the entirety of my journey but about giving a spark, an insight, lending an ear, just talking and laughing like the good ol’ days or simply just praying for me. Knowing there were people that loved me genuinely always helped when I went back to the grind of an entrepreneur, in an unpredictable industry.
