We had the good fortune of connecting with Courtney Beach and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Courtney, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
Self-Expression has always been an important part of my life. I feel as though the introvert part of me needs creativity to balance out the reserved part of me. The creative career gives me the opportunity to do so and the joy that it brings me is something that I yearned for when searching for a career that I felt could provide longevity. Also, I am a person that is driven by progress and within the creative field it has been fulfilling to see myself grow as much as I have creatively and makes me excited to see how much more I can grow in the future.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I think up until this point of my career things have been pretty difficult, but I trust that that will not always be the case. I have seen progress and as I mentioned before – that is what really motivates me to keep taking steps forward. One way that I overcome challenges is by not focusing on the negative aspects but even if there’s a small glimmer of positivity – clinging to that and using it to propel me forward. The main lesson is that I cannot rush the process. As much as I would love to have everything lined up perfectly, I had to come to grips with the fact that the only way to get there is to persevere through the tough times. Lastly, I want the world to know about me and my brand is that I am willing to put the work in and my determination is what will inevitably get me to where I want to go.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
It wouldn’t be that exciting, but we would have to keep alternating between my favorite local food spots and finding an event like sporting or concert if one of those happened to be going on at the time they came into town. I love fish and there’s a nice place called Nick’s on 2nd in Long Beach, Ca that has the best seabass. We would definitely have to go there. Also, I am a Los Angeles Clippers fan and Chargers fan so we might have to checkout one of those and hopefully they would have a good time too.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
There are a few people I would like to shout out. To start off, my mother has always been really supportive of my passion and encouraged me whenever I needed. My Wife has also been really supportive of my passion and picked me up when I was feeling down or discouraged by consistently letting me know how much she believes in me and my ability. My boxing coach who taught me so much about myself through the sport which I think aided me in my self-belief about handling difficult paths. A mentor of mine named Richard who worked with me on self-improvement and asked for nothing in return except for effort.
